Had high hopes for this place but it left a lot to be desired. Perhaps it was the day and circumstances but when we arrived we were told the systems were down and we could not pay at the counter but would need to use the app or go online. Not a big deal if you understand that these things happen. The app was easy enough to use and gave me an estimated time (10:14). A few minutes after my estimated time(almost 10 minutes after), I went up to the counter to get my food. After swiping left on the screen and passing over a few orders, the employee said they had not seen my order come through and said the system just started running again. Didn't make sense to me and why tell us to order on an app if they couldn't see the orders come through? I waited at my table and after some more time they bought out the first item, a $7 quiche that was very small for the price and lukewarm. When my specialty drink came out they mentioned that they were out of marshmallows. I asked if I could get a pastry. They said the value of that wasn't equal to a marshmallow and could give me a refund which is understandable. However, given the overall wait time and system issues I found their response a bit dismissive and apathetic. My sister in law also ordered a scone which was dry and made me thankful that I hadn't gotten a pastry after all. In spite of the poor customer service, the ambience and setting was nice and the cafe was spacious. There was a large group of moms having some sort of meetup and table discussion which added took away from the ambiance and made the space feel a bit crowded but I'm sure that's not an everyday occurrence and it was nice to see that a larger party could be accommodated. Besides that my specialty drink was tasty and beautifully presented. This place has the potential to be a great if they work on their service and food quality. I may try again...

Quiche Lorraine gave my 3 year old and I food poisoning. When I reached out; they told me it was Norovirus since they had just had it. I let them know we were able to narrow down it was the quiche, I received no response. I commented on their instagram and they kept deleting my comments.

Do not eat the quiche or bother going there since they have no customer service care.

ETA: I’m not understanding where blackmail comes into this. I asked when I can expect a refund since my son and I got sick immediately after eating the food. Happy to post the SS since we’re throwing around the word “threat.” No wonder they have scammer influencers coming to their shop posting videos if this is how they respond to customers. Accusing a customer of blackmail over $30 is wild because a bad review that was caused...

Tried their 70% dark hot chocolate. I went there twice on a different day. I ordered the plain hot chocolate with oat milk (the other one is a s'mores hot chocolate which I did not want to try as I prefer something that’s not sweet) The hot coco was still a little sweet for my asian taste buds although it’s not too much, compared to the regular ones that’s made with chocolate syrup, this one they claim to make it with melted chocolate which is evident. Temperature wise, it was served very hot! which i prefer. I always come around 7-8pm and they still served it nice and hot. Overall this is one of the hot chocolate spots in Jersey that I recommend if you’re also looking for a DARK hot chocolate that is not too sweet and is made with real...

Forum Coffee in Livingston is a great spot if you’re looking for a cozy coffee shop with plenty of space to sit and relax. The vibe inside is warm, with lots of seating and a nice mix of wood and tile that gives it a classic feel. The food and drinks selection is solid. We tried the cannoli, pastries, and a variety of drinks — everything was fresh and tasted good. The pastries, especially, were crisp and buttery. They also have a small retail section with coffee beans, snacks, and merch, plus a fridge stocked with drinks and grab-and-go items. Service was friendly, and the overall experience was relaxed and easy. Definitely a good place to visit if you’re nearby or would like to meet up with friends

The aesthetic of the place was very nice, and I love the concept of offering organic coffees. The chocolate chip cookie had a good flavor but was quite hard. I was expecting a softer texture: should’ve asked before ordering. The iced matcha tea with oat milk was tasty. However, I wish the cashier had asked if I wanted sweetener. I didn’t realize it came unsweetened since it was my first visit. The soft serve ice cream had a grainy texture and didn’t taste smooth. We ordered three soft serves, and I noticed two out of the three spoons were dirty. This was concerning and impacted the overall experience. When I’m in the area again, I might try again.
