Mad4Mod — Local services in Livonia

I was looking for mid century furniture on the Ann Arbor area and came across Mad4Mod. It's about 40 minutes or so from my house. Upon arriving i realized that they were not open until 3pm and I'd just gotten there around 1pm. I didn't want to leave and drive back so I called and left a message asking if they were in the area and could by any chance open earlier. It just so happened that Andy was in the area and was able to open a little early for us.

Inside their shop, which is full of fabulous furniture, lamps, and extras, we spent some time just looking. The shop is great, warehouse set up but clean and no musty smell that you sometimes smell with old furniture. To me this is a very good sign that they take good care in what they buy to sell and how they maintain their items and store.

We ended up buying two amazing mid century dressers, that we love. We wanted to buy vintage for style and environmental reasons too. Repurposing.

We also bought two Kofod chairs. They're in such amazing shape! However they needed new support straps which Andy had already ordered to replace. We bought the chairs anyway and they sent us the straps which were easy to put in.

So lovevour new chairs and dressers! Thank you Andy and Tony! We will definitely be shopping there again!

P.S. before we put our clothes in the dressers we bought, I cleaned every inch of them inside and out. The cloths I used were basically clean. The dressers are in such amazingly...

I came across this very interesting store with all different types of old fashion and antique items including lots of cool furniture. As a matter of fact I was quite blown away with some of the rare finds there. I would disagree with anybody that said the prices were expensive because after all I noticed some rare collectors items that are very difficult to find. This is a great place to look for some retro furniture and house decor and pretty hip as well. Even an interesting place to kill some time. Andrew is a very professional and expert at knowing these collections. I was really impressed and would definately buy more furniture there in the future. The chairs I purchased are from the 50's and are in excellent condition with no stains or damage. Thank you so much for all you help Andrew. It was a real pleasure meeting you last week! I had a couple of MCM pieces of furniture and contacted the shop about selling my items. Andy was quick to respond, super friendly, and helpful. Love that they came to me to check out the items and move them out for me (as opposed to moving myself to a consignment shop) If I have to part with my beautiful MCM pieces, I am so happy they are going somewhere where they will be appreciated. I have follow the shop on social media for a while and I am so happy to have had such a pleasant experience with them. 10/10 would recommend for all...
