We read good things about New China Moon and decided it was time to give them a try, and we’re glad we did! Finding a decent Chinese Restaurant locally in Livonia has been challenging for us. We’re pretty particular and found that we just don’t enjoy most Chinese Restaurants that are local to our residence in Livonia. Today, we got General Tso’s Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken. I genuinely enjoyed my General’s Chicken, and my wife was happy with her S & S Chicken. One thing odd with her chicken is there were 1-inch slices of pickle in the Sweet & Sour sauce, that’s just odd. Since we both had lunch combinations, they came with egg rolls and fried rice. I wish that I had noticed the fried rice because my dish works better with white rice. Their fried rice was jus rice cooked in Soy Sauce. No veggies, or eggs, or sesame oil, so it is more aptly considered to be soy sauce rice. Still tasty, but I would not consider it fried rice. My wife ordered the egg drop soup, and I got hot and sour. We both really enjoyed our soups! The egg rolls were OK, not great, not bad. I neglected to request spicy mustard, but they did include a single sachet of Soy Sauce and Duck Sauce for each of us. We also ordered two almond cookies and found them to be a bit on the dry side. Since it was 2:00 in the afternoon, I could understand they’d be a little dry if they had been made fresh in the morning. The place is carry-out only, which is not a deal-breaker. We live nearby, so eating at home was nice. We liked the food enough to try it again. Next time, I’ll get the Mongolian Beef!

Me and the girls in the office just ordered this for lunch... New China Moon is definitely our new go to spot for when we are craving Chinese food! Amazing food all around(I got the Mongolian beef) Also, the general tso chicken the lady was nice enough to let us try was great! Great food, great prices and amazing customer service :)

Very nice people! The food was excellent and fresh. I recommend the chicken Egg Foo Young and the General Tso’s chicken. The egg rolls remind me of a smaller version I had as a kid from my favorite place at the time…..delicious! 😋 I should have taken the picture before I ate one of the patties, but I couldn’t resist.

I just called New China Moon and tried to place an order for pick up. Our connection was a little hazy at first, so it took a few, "Hello's" before I was asking to place a pick up. After I stated this, the man who answered the phone said, rather urgently, "What do you want?". I stated that I was just making sure our connection was clear. He replied, "Well are you going to order?" I asked him if there was someone else there, a manger perhaps, that I could speak to. He hung up on me. I called right back, and told him he didn't need to be rude to me, I just wanted to speak with who was in charge. He yelled, "Are you going to order?" and when I asked for a manager again, he hung up. I'm not sure if it was a language barrier keeping my request unanswered or if he was trying to avoid trouble, either way I will never call them again and will warn everyone I know of their extremely RUDE service. No thank you, I will take my business...

I’m pretty new to the area. I’ve tried about a dozen different Chinese restaurants. My favorite dish is General’s Chicken, and up until now I’ve been so disappointed. Disappointed to the point I almost stopped looking in this area. However today I stumbled across this restaurant online, and I was jonesing for some General’s Chicken. Definitely one of the best GC’s I’ve had. Chicken was of nice size, lightly breaded, and cooked perfectly. I always pay attention to the taste the fry oil leaves behind, it should be neutral with not taste IMO, and it was. The fried rice that’s served with the meal was great as well. The sauce was perfect, a little sweet, a little hot, and just the perfect consistency. Overall the meal was a solid 9.5 - 10. Great job!...
