Lockport Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5788 — Local services in Lockport

I would like to tell everyone that Will the Vice Commander, Carrie manager, Joe the bar tender and all the staff and patrons are absolutely awesome people. They have helped us so much and it just a great place to socialize and meet new people. We hang out there as much as we can because of the hospitality. Come in say hi introduce yourself. We are a law enforcement club that enjoys meeting and helping people. I know when we are there and there's pizza your more than welcome and we will probably get you a drink to wash it down. We missed last week because we were building beds for kids that don't have one through an organization an mattress were donated. 70 kids got to sleep in a bed Sunday night. These were not put together we cut the wood and screwed them together. If someone needs one we can probably build it for you. We woul donate it from SON OF FREEDOM AND THE VFW! DONATIONS TO DO THIS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME BUT NOT EXPECTED. Covid hit a lot of people hard we just try and give back. Thanks to the VFW LOCKPORT we are not treated any different they are just great people. The first one we build Will and Joe said they would shave there heads.... just joking guys unless we raffle it off...lol VFW LOCKPORT IS AWESOME AND THE NEW COMMAND STAFF IS GOING TO MAKE IT BETTER. ON BEHALF OF SONS OF FREEDOM WE THAT AND RESPECT ALL THAT SERVED INCLUDING THERE SPOUSES. I DIDNT SERVE IVE BEEN A 32 YEAR LAW ENFORCEMENT VETERAN BUT IF I DID I WOULD DEFINITELY JOIN THIS ONE! P.S. THEY HAVE TABLES FOR EVERY BRANCH OF SERVICE INCLUDING A IST RESPONDER TABLE.

I give this place reluctantly 2 stars and really I think there should be minus stars. My family rented the hall for a party with ample time to be advised of any do's and don't's but instead they agreed to the rental and didn't tell my family they could not decorate with streamers and stuff until the very day of the party.
