DO NOT GO HERE!! DISHONEST & DECEITFUL. I specifically spoke with Mike & went down the list on the services to be covered for my vehicle maintenance. I asked if cabin filter, air cleaner filter, transmission fluid service and engine oil service was included, he said yes to all my questions. Dropped it off & later received a call to inquire about doing my breaks & I declined. I later picked up my car & was told, “we couldn’t change the transmission fluid because we needed a special tool so instead we flushed your break fluid”. I was in shock as I never authorized for that service, AND nothing was mentioned about a special tool when I inquired about the transmission fluid service, nor was it mentioned during the call about the brakes. I was told while I was there that it was not “necessary to change the transmission fluid since it’s CVT transmission” which is a lie. Got home & later discovered NONE of the filters were changed, nor were my tires rotated. I spoke to Mike the next day and asked for a partial refund & he basically said no, even though he didn’t have a good response as to why he LIED to me about the services he would provide on our INITIAL phone conversation! It’s terrible that people can be so money hungry & LIE to get you in the door. I was willing to bring my vehicles for service here if they rectified the issues but not if they can’t admit wrongdoing! $500 GLORIFIED oil change & brake flush!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!! Read moreFinal Update - Enzo replaced virtually everything brake-related, including new hydraulic fluid lines, to fix my problem. And this time it worked. He didn't even charge me! He frankly invested a decent chunk of change into rebuilding my trust in Mike More Miles, and I really appreciate it. The problem is now resolved at last and I can drive in confidence knowing my car is in good shape and my relationship with my long-time favorite local shop is restored. The moral of the lesson: be patient and if necessary talk to the boss, and this shop will come through for you.
Update- Enzo the owner called me and basically insisted he wanted to make this right. So I brought the car over today and he and got in the car and drove around for quite a while to try to hear the noise I brought the car in for originally. He did hear it and has some idea what it might be. The shop was full up today but he asked me to bring it again Saturday and he'd get it fixed. I feel like sometimes you just got to talk to the boss.
Enzo also refunded my money for the last visit, which I appreciate. So that's why I bumped up my review from 3 stars to 4.
So I'll bring the car back and hope for a satisfying conclusion to my story. If so I'll bump up the review to 5 stars.
Original post- They are friendly and seem like they want to help, but I brought my car in three times in one week and they still did not fix my one problem. They replaced some brake parts that were still under warranty from when I had Mike More I install them originally, but I still paid for labor. And the car is still not fixed. Read moreHonest, genuine, and rare. I trust these guys with my car repairs and work more than any other mechanic shop I've ever been to. My Uncle Joey has been a mechanic for over 40 years. He knows just as well as most of you, most mechanic shops do not have people that care. These guys care and I'm very, very grateful for them. They make you feel very welcome and comfortable there. That in itself is very rare in most places in Chicago. It is southern hospitality plus honest service. What else do you want? Maybe you want free work done. I do too. But this is just great ! I will gladly give them my money for honest work any day. Maybe you have had a bad experience elsewhere or have had doubts about the answers they give or the work they do that you can't see. I trust these guys and I'm sure you would too if you give them a visit. I do not have anything else to say. I'm impressed. You can not ask for more unless you know someone in your own family with a shop that does it for free. And we all know nothing is free. They have turned down work I wanted them to do because they saw it was not needed. They said not to worry about it. That was a year ago. And they were right it was not needed even until today it is running good. No leak. They don't play games. I like that.
