My family and I have been going to honeyfield for over 10 years. This was a first bad experience, which is unfortunate since i love their food and all of the other servers we have had. Today, my husband and I decided to go out for a late lunch it was 1 50pm, and we were probably the 4th customer (which 2 more customers came in after us). Anyways, we were seated promptly received menus and water right away. Our waitress JULIE arrives very nice at first, we weren't ready to order she gave us a minute then came back though we still were undecided. She came back the 3rd time which we were ready my husband gave his order then I asked for a specific omelet and if they could swap 2 of the veggies for the turkey sausage. She stated id still get charged for it so I decided to get a lunch item instead. She offered to come back though i stated no please don't since i had another option ready to order. Nothing complicated just a burger and a side salad. She leaves and when my side salad arrived she placed it down then walked away i stated Thank You with no reply from her. Then when our food came she placed me food down then my husbands and only asked him if he needed anything else. He asked for some hot sauce then she was about to leave and I asked politely if I could get a side of mayo and lettuce which she said it doesn't come with that but she'll grab it. She comes back with the plate of lettuce and mayo places it down then walks away. I stopped her and asked if there was anything wrong because I felt she was being somewhat rude towards me. SShe had no other customers since other waitresses were taking care of those tables. She replies you know mam you have just been passive aggressive towards me. I stated I don't know how when all we did was order food but her actions towards me only was unprofessional. She instantly said if we come back here to make sure we don't have her as a waitresses and that someone else can finish our service way before the manager entered the picture! I wasn't yelling or attacking her but can tell with how she continued to ignore me as a customer was very rude and unacceptable since I am unaware how she felt that way. We spoke with the manager I don't know his name but he was very nice and listened to my story plus her story. I wasn't asking him to take sides but there was no need for her to act the way she did and i dont know how a customer placjng an order can come off as passive aggressive since that was the only time i apoke to her prior to her bad actions. I ended up leaving her a small tip because I'm not petty though my husband felt she didn't deserve it. I did not eat my food that was the worst service I had ever experienced at honeyfield it left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't think I will ever go back to that...

Bringing us to Honey Field Pancake House. Shuffling into a nice sided booth, Maria, our server, popped over, surprising me and my completely oversized coat. Instantly, we all had a great laugh, and it felt like we had a friend at breakfast. Maria was a bubbly breath of fresh air because, more often than not, at breakfast joints, you can get a stodgy server, not up for joking and chatting.
Don't you love it when you get a carafe coffee at your table that you can serve yourself?! Us too. Important for later.
You can not go wrong with anything you find on this menu, and believe me. You will find anything you are looking for because the menu is expansive in all the right ways! There is everything from pancakes to skillets, took crapes and specialty waffles, and everything in between you want a Benedict of any kind, yes, they have it!
My order was the homer waffle, breakfast, and included eggs, bacon hash browns, and, of course, a beautifully cooked crispy on the outside soft and pillow on the inside waffle I'm often referred to as a particular order. I don't think so. I just adore things to be crispy like bacon and hash browns. And both came out impeccably cooked!
Maria even brought out 2 kinds of hot sauce, not just one without being asked. And that is another gold star in my book! After carefully preparing the butter on my waffle, I went to pour a little helping of syrup in one of the quadrants only to have picked up the coffee carafe and doused it with a helping of coffee to quickly be swiped up to pour off the coffee off into my cup, which then became a butter coffee! Something. I never want to try.
After our laughter, Maria brought me a new mug and asked if I wanted a new waffle. Nope. Just a little more coffee forward, although I don't suggest trying that on your visit.
If you are looking for a great breakfast joint. Please stop by! And if you're as lucky as we are, you'll...
Read moreStarting the new year at this breakfast and lunch restaurant was not a good idea. We had a party of 9 with a 20 min wait which I understand it was going to be a longer wait with that many people. What I don’t understand is two longer group of people that came 10 or 15 mins after us waiting was seated before us. I went to talk to the the older man that seats everyone (I’m guessing he is the owner) to ask why they were seated before us. He said that there was not enough room to seat us anywhere else then one spot which didn’t make any sense when he made room for the other longer group of people. Then he started complaining right in front me about me to another customer which was super rude. At this point I didn’t want to stay at all but then the table was ready with a 45 min wait time and my family decided we’ll just seat down and have our lunch. We all order our food and I have dietary restrictions which I told our waitress. When our foods came our waitress informed me that they messed up my order and we’re fixing it. Everyone else was eating and I was still waiting but once I got my food I noticed that they was pieces of cheese on the fries so I wanted to look at the burger I order if there was any sign of cheese on it. Long behold there was still cheese on my burger which I am a allergic to cheese. The cook just scraped off the cheese and the sauce that I could not have. This was mind blowing and I have never had this happen before. I told the waitress what happened and she had to talk to her manager. Once she came back she took my plate and asked if I wanted them to make another one. Right then and there I knew I was right of them scraping off the cheese thinking that would be okay for me to still eat that when I am allergic to dairy. Overall I would highly NOT recommend coming to this restaurant. The manager is rude and they don’t care if you have a any dietary...
