Great Wall is the best Chinese in Lockport! (Since China Wok has closed in Lemont, the Great Wall in Lockport is the best Chinese in the area). The lunch specials are a great price for the generous amount of food you receive. The egg rolls are amazing, and Kung Pao is always good (be sure to ask for “extra extra Spicey”). Dumbfounded at these 4 and 5 star reviews, spent $55.00 on my family for dinner let me tell you the chicken fried rice was completely bland, absolutely no taste, not one bean sprout or onion for added taste. The Mongolian chicken was also flavorless with minimal taste. If it were not for the added soy sauce that made it taste tolerable. I prefer to eat there anytime I get the craving for Chinese food than any other restaurant in the area. They have good food, accommodate all my requests, and have wonderful lunch specials. The atmosphere is that of a take-out restaurant even though they offer tables for people to sit and eat if they so choose. I also find the presence of their kids encouraging. It is a family restaurant and their kids sit in the dining area doing schoolwork and such rather than sending them to daycare - makes perfect...
