I had been going here for years with Dr. Cloud. When she retired they put me with a new young Dr. Who I saw on a few occassions, I took my husband to get for a physical. My husband is on heart meds, and high cholesterol medicine, he had 3 stents put in his heart 2 and half years ago, so I take him in for a physical and she talks to him, and asks him about his history, she starts exam and says he has muscle spasms in shoulder and prescribes him flexerill, he took 1 that night, and one the next night, and 10 am on the very next morning he had his first seizure, he had another one 3 weeks later while in the shower, and ripped the muscle in shoulder, that had to have surgery, now we have thousands in $$$ in DR BILLS. One of the cautions for this medicine is DO NOT PRESCRIBE IF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, HEART PROCEDURES AND ON AND ON. THEN SHE WOULDNT EVEN PRESCIBE HIM ANY PAIN MEDS FOR RIPPED SHOYLDER NOT RECOMMENDING!! I'm having to find another doctor now, and my husband is on seizure medicine the rest of his life, he is 49 and had never had...
Read morethe last three times i have been to this facility, i scheduled for the morning in order to avoid the doctor being late. ALL three times, my emails and phone blow up from atrium multiple times to remind me to be 15 minutes early for the appointment. i have always arrived 15 minutes early only for the doctor to be 45 minutes late every time. this is at 9:45 in the morning the doctor is 45 minutes late. I DO NOT fault the doctor. as the age of his patients is getting older, my doctor is spending the time he needs to provide quality health care for his patients and i would NOT want him to do any different. HOWEVER, the problem is the scheduling and most likely upper management. Schedule more time for appointments! By keeping 15 minute slots, you ask patients to be early and the doctor always runs late time and time again. It makes him look bad but the problem is really your management personel. one more time and I will go somewhere else even though I like my doctor. Atrium management can go fly a kite if they can't fix something...
Read moreThe Doctors at the locust office are great to work with. The billing Dept. on the other hand, appears they are commission based. Example, I received a statement weeks after my services with the details of my visit. I paid the invoice in full. 3 weeks later, I receive another statement with no explanation on what this statement is for. So, I called customer service and spoke with a lady and her explanation was that they sent some labs outside the office for test and, that's why I got new charges. Mind me why would Atrium send me multiple statements in less than 30 days. When they could have been both combined into one statement in 30 days. knowing you still needed to bill me for the outside labs. I feel like it was the opportunity to collect easy money because, I paid out of pocket. I know Atrium health has a understanding of the cost of services that are routine such as a physical which I had done. So, I can't trust that Atrium is fair in their billing dept. I felt Overcharged based on the actions that...
