Nikki Asian Bistro — Restaurant in Locust

Our first experience at Nikki was amazing! We've lived 20 minutes from this restaurant and don't know why we have never come here before but believe me when I say we are new regulars from now on! Everything was amazing. Food was life changing and the service was awesome! The wonton soup was great, the broth was flavorful and the wontons were delicious. My wife had spring rolls and I had an egg roll which were also crispy and not drenched in grease. They were perfect. The main course was what sealed the deal. We ordered Sesame Chicken and House Special Fried Rice, which was the best we've ever had. The Sesame Chicken was crispy with just enough sauce! It was a pleasure to see instead of the normal soggy and swimming in sauce plates we end up with at most restaurants. The House Special Fried Rice had a good portion of meat in it and the flavor was amazing. It was a very generous serving and we couldn't stop eating. I love the food at this place! But I HATE the people who run it, the service, and the atmosphere. I used to order via Uber Eats, but they've stopped doing that, so I took my family to the restaurant Friday night. Never. Ever. Again! This is only the third time I've been here, and it gets worse every time. Besides there being hundreds of sugar ants crawling the wall beside our table, the owner(s) do the cooking and scream at each other and the server (exactly ONE teenage girl who had only been working there for a few days) constantly, not to mention that one of the cooks/owners has an infant who was in the kitchen the entire time she was cooking over an incredibly hot wok. There were five of us, and our food came out one plate at a time with about 15 minutes between each one. The food was delicious, but it wasn't worth the trouble. There was a line from the front all the way out the door of people picking up to-go orders too. I ordered delivery from here and the food tastes terrible! The fried chicken wings are 6 for $9, I could’ve sworn it said 10 wings on the delivery app, the salad came with ranch dressing and not GINGER dressing (what Asian restaurant doesn’t have ginger dressing) the Singapore rice noodles were just awful they tasted sweet and I had to throw them away. The general toss chicken was just okay as were the pork egg rolls. I wasted $50. I will not ever order from this subpar restaurant again.
