Long story short; close this store, customers don't go here. Drive to the one in Monroe or on Albemarle Rd. Only posting this in hopes that management sees it. Please close this store like yall closed the one in Mint Hill. At least that one was actually decent half the time. I haven't ate here in FOREVER (for good reason, even years ago when they were slightly better) and what compelled me to make this was how slow it was yesterday. It was a Saturday around 4-5 pm (start of dinner rush around here), and I was out doordashing. Normally, I'm not sure if it works the same at every restaurant, at least part of the order is being worked on. Not sure if that was the case yesterday. There was a family in the eating area who were cool and patient, and they were served their food first (as they should be, being that they were probably there the longest). At first, it looked like there was one person running both the counter, kitchen, and window, because I literally didn't see or hear anyone else back there. It's now been 5 minutes since I've been here, and one out of three customers have been served. There was a gentleman at the counter waiting on an order for what seemed like forever, and nobody would even stop at the counter to give him or I the time of day (dude who was serving the family, even while at the counter, didn't acknowledge either of us). About 6 or 7 minutes after I'm there, someone randomly spawns in and asks what I'm here for. I told them, and he said they were working on it. Okay cool, no worries. Giving as many details as possible because it seemed like someone from higher up was in there and it was still the worst service I have ever had at a KFC. Even when I was a kid and my dad found a bug in the chicken. Homeboy's name tag said "RGM" on it and seemed to be the only one wearing all black- if it stands for what I think it does, your regional manager can barely walk (nothing wrong with that just stating he shouldnt be the only one busting his butt working) and gave me two of the wrong drinks for an order WHILE looking at the screen/receipt for said order, and didn't correct it til I said something (and didn't apologize). It's fast food so you don't really expect anyone to go above and beyond, but lord have mercy. There were FOUR people in there on a Saturday and what seemed like one drive thru customer, and I was in there for the longest I've been in a restaurant while dashing (about 10-15 min). No apology, nothing. And I got served before the gentleman who had been standing here at the counter waiting with a drink in his hand the whole time. Close this store. There's too many chicken places around now for people to keep going to a crappy, overpriced KFC who's food quality and service done match the pricing. Lmao I think this is the longest review...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis location is ALWAYS out of something we want to order. Itās been chicken tenders, biscuits, mac & cheese, chicken breasts, chicken pot pies, today it was cole slaw. We also discovered that now a 12 piece chicken strip bucket costs $22.99, and if you want the combo (which includes 6 biscuits and 3 large sides, and 6 sauces) it will cost you $32.99. This visit we ordered the 12 strip combo and were told they were out of cole slaw, and had to settle for mac & cheese. We also ordered a chicken pot pie, and had to settle for a chicken breast meal. It was 6:25 PM. At 6:47 we asked if our order was ready and were told they now have no mac & cheese. At this point we asked for a refund, and were told they would make more mac & cheese, and give us an extra mac & cheese and double biscuits. We waited another 12 minutes and they said they were sorry and the manager brought out our bag. We got in our car and checked the order, and were missing the extra biscuits, breast, biscuit, and cookie. We went back inside, and showed the error to the cashier, whom went back and returned to tell us there were no more breasts left. We once again said we wanted a refund, and after some discussion, settled for a thigh and 2 legs instead of the breast we paid for and left the store at 7:10 (45 minutes after our order). We ended up with a wing and 2 legs when we arrived home. Also had no honey sauce in the bag. To add to our dissatisfaction, the poor customer in front of us asked for a refund and left the store, the customer behind us told them he wanted a refund if they couldnāt get the mac & cheese finished soon, and another customer came in to order a pot pie and was told they had none, so he just left. We will NEVER return to this KFC again, and want this to be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went here a few times, most of the time with a new issue, every place has its bad days but the odds of this many bad visits are slim to none. On one occasion an employee tried to steal my card saying they did not have it when I saw them slip it under some napkins by the register, I eventually got it back as I not going to leave my card there. On another visit (I went inside for this visit) they took a good 15 min to get me the famous bowl due to heavy prioritization of drive thru, I did expect a longer wait but not this long when they weren't too busy.
Onward to the actual food! The fries are disappointing, I don't know what was up with them but they were just soggy even though they were warm (this isn't refried either, I worked in fast food, I'm guilty of this and this was not it). The chicken (buckets) were alright, not as crispy as the KFC in concord though but overall alright. Sandwiches and tenders however are really crispy and delicious, I loved them so if you come here that's one of the things to order. As for the famous bowl here, it's hit or miss, sometimes it's loaded with chicken and sometimes it's pretty baren.
So if you come here avoid the fries, watch your card and change, and just order a sandwich or the tenders and you'll be...
