While visiting family in North Carolina, we decided to get lunch, and they took us to the Brew Room. This place is fairly new. I think it's less than 2 years old. They serve a variety of items like burgers, sandwiches, tot bowls, different hot dogs, etc. The fam and I ordered, "you're a chicken" tot bowl, signature beer battered fish and chips, and the smashed onion and beer cheddar cheese burger. I ate the tots, which were good I loved how the toppings didn't ruin the texture of the tots. The tots had brewpub chicken, queso fresco, pico de gallo, and house ranch.Every tot I ate was good and crispy!!! The burger was really good, something about the simplicity really hit well with me and Lil man especially since he claims he doesn't like cheese, he at most of the burger, and i did my motherly duties by helping him out š. The burger had caramelized onions, signature aioli, and beer cheddar. The side with the burger was sweet potato waffle fries. My dad ended up getting the fish and chips. I only got a chance to taste the chips, which were really good, I loved that they were shaped like round chips. They were well seasoned and crispy. I would go back to try other things on thier...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe decided to try this place for the first time. The place is right in the middle of downtown Locust. We visited on Saturday for lunch and it was pretty empty. We had our dog with us, so we were not sure if she was allowed in and to our surprise they said yes! We ordered at the bar and then they give you a number and bring the food out to you. The staff was really nice and patient with us as we were trying to figure out what to order.
We went to sit outside. We tried to open the umbrellas at the table and 3 of them were broke. We found one that was open. The wait staff brought our food and checked on us for refills. We had burgers and a huge pretzel. Everything tasted great.
The place is nice and if you live in the area, itās a perfect place for food and a good beer. We donāt live in the area, but if weāre out this way again, weāll stop...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband took me there on Sunday, May 7 for my birthday. We had 2:30 reservations. We walked in and I greeted young lady at hostess stand with a smile and hello. She did not respond on gave me a sneer and a look of disdain. I made me feel as if we where not welcome. I told her he have reservations at 2:30 she got menus and walked away. I presumed we where to follow and we did. We sat at a booth with hard seats. Waitress came over and we told her to bring water and crab dip. I ordered an additional beverage which took 30 min to get. A different waitress came back about an additional 20 min later to say our original waitress was taking care of a big party but she would take our orders. This place was not busy and I am very disappointed in the service provided as well as the food was not good. Thanks for the experience at The...
