Cache Valley Meats: A Christmas Hero!
Planning a large gathering can be stressful, especially when it comes to food. For our Christmas party a couple of months ago, I was tasked with finding a local shop who could provide delicious and crowd-pleasing options. Thankfully, I knew a guy at Cache Valley Meats, and let me tell you, they were phenomenal!
From the very beginning, they were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They worked with me to create a customized menu that fit our budget and tastes perfectly. We opted for their famous French dip, complete with house-made rolls and Au Jus, along with classic sides like potato salad, macaroni salad, and baked beans.
On the day of the party, everything was promptly ready for pick up and freshly prepared. The aroma was incredible, and I could already tell the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. The food did not disappoint!
The French dip was the star of the show. The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The rolls were soft and fresh, and the Au Jus was rich and flavorful. The sides were equally delicious. Every single guest raved about the food, and there were even requests for seconds (and thirds!).
Beyond the amazing food, I was also impressed by Cache Valley Meats' professionalism and service. They were responsive to my questions, flexible with my requests, and went above and beyond to ensure our party was a success.
If you're looking for a place to provide the food for your next party, (Superbowl, family reunion, you name it) look no further than Cache Valley Meats. They truly helped make our Christmas party a glowing success, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend...
Read moreMy family has been raising beef for longer than I’ve been alive. With all this experience, I can say that bringing your animals here is a mistake. We ended up bringing our beef here because of a scheduling mishap with our usual place. When I picked up my beef, I was surprised at how little meat I received. After talking to other family members who noticed the same thing, everyone weighed what they received. We only received 40% of the hanging weight of our beef. Other family members received around 30%. For as long as we have been doing this, we have always received 60%-70%. After this experience, we did some research and learned that the industry standard is 60%. My hanging weight was 220 lbs. I should have received 132 lbs of beef. I only received 93 lbs. I called and left messages. When I finally got a response, it was excuses. “Your cows were premature, they were light weight holsteins, our standard is 40%-50%…” It has been suggested that they short us our beef, and sell it, to make a profit on the side.
Rethink your business practices. Respond to your customers quickly. Figure out why your “standard” is so much lower than the...
Read moreWe had 4 beef processed at Cache Valley Meats this past December and were so very disappointed.
Number one- on two of the four beef orders, the people we sold the beef to did not get their full order when they picked it up and were told that it must have gotten missed when they picked up their order.
Number two- we only yielded 30% of the hanging weight in packaged meat. When we contacted the butcher about the shortage of beef, he said he’d look for it and somehow he found another tray of ours. Every other year when we had our beef processed at a different processing company, we yielded at least 60% of the hanging weight in packaged meat.
Number three- I have never tasted more gamey meat than our beef tastes this year. I am assuming this is because of cross contamination from previously butchering wild game with the same machines.
I will never take another beef to process to Cache...
