When I go to a store, I want to enjoy the experience. Kohls is not enjoyable to me anymore.
Let’s start with the inconvenience of only one set of doors to enter and exit through. This is the first and last thing to affect your customers- and it’s not a positive experience.
Upon entering- the new layout is a complete disaster. WAY, WAY, WAY too much emphasis on the new makeup area for Sephora. Other stores have been through remodeling- but this has been done with greater inconvenience than is normal. The departments are not clear anymore what is where.
The customer service line backed into the clothing department today . And there are not enough cashiers or service reps to serve anyone. The south side had no cashiers at all, forcing shoppers down to the other end of the store.
Their prices are ridiculously higher than anywhere else- and this “Kohl’s cash” gimmick has got to go! No wonder so many of your shoppers shop online. We get the deals better on the website than in the store since it tracks it for us online. But here’s an idea- what about just selling things at lower prices and save the printer ink and paper?
Sadly, the whole front of the store feels more like a pickup depot now- not a nice department store. I miss the cute dressing area they had for the Junior department. Now this great experience is taken over by wire shelves and pickup orders.
Even the self pickup area by customer service is taking over into the nicer department store feel. It is like putting your garage items in your front living room. Not what should be front and center in a nice store.
When I go to this Kohls- nothing invites me to stay. I just can’t wait to get out. And then, even getting out...
Read moreI don't understand how Kohl's treats customers so poorly and still stays in business. I don't know why I keep giving them a chance, but I have. My latest issue is how they handle exchanges/repurchases when it comes to Kohl's Cash. I spent $75 on some clothes on 12/31/22, which gave me $10 in Kohl's Cash. I had to exchange two items for smaller sizes the next day. I chose the exact same brand as those returned, but there was a slight difference in the amounts but the end result was I was still over the $50 required minimum. The lady at the refund center said she didn't know how their system would handle it because of the price difference and she had to do a refund of the items and I would have to purchase the smaller sizes outright.. Even though I was still over the $50 minimum of my total sale of the same items, it would void my Kohl's cash. She said there was nothing she could do about it, that was how their system was. I was so frustrated, I just took the refund and did not buy the other items. I prefer to spend my money elsewhere where the store puts the customer first. The only good thing about Kohl's I can say is that you get a $5 coupon if you take an Amazon return there. I did not use the Amazon $5 coupon on my latest purchase disaster, I know that if Kohl's takes that away, chances become even slimmer that I will voluntarily go in Kohl's again. I try never to use my Kohl's charge. I get a better return on my Capital One card and don't have to worry about their system delays in crediting my...
Read moreThis store has products crammed into the space. You can not walk through the clothing areas without knocking items off the tables or racks. Forget about finding the size or color you want. In the men’s section today the clothes were piles of messes. It was like digging through clothes piled on a blanket at a garage sale! Couldn’t find sizes, the men’s dress shirt brands were all mixed together. The shirts were wrinkled and a mess. Went to get in line to pay for two shirts. There was an extremely long line in men’s so went to women’s side. It was marginally better with only 3 cashiers. Two registers were down as they were not working. Got to front of line, stepped up to next available cashier. She looked at me and said I can’t help you I have no cash left in my drawer. She didn’t even ask but I was going to use my Kohl’s card. Assistant manager stopped and clerk repeated that she had no cash. I was ignored. Finally I put my items down and said forget it and I walked out. Both ladies seemed surprised by my presence but did nothing to help or stop me. Just because Kohl’s is one of the only clothing stores in Longmont doesn’t mean I have to shop there. Today was the last time I intend to go there. I will take my business to the new Lafayette store if I need Kohl’s. Super disappointed and frustrated with this local store. They don’t care how this store is run or...
