OfficeMax — Local services in Longmont

Sometime you just feel some salespeople and their managers just go through the motions but I have to say that was not my experience in Longmont. I spent about 45 minutes with the Store Asst Mgr discussing different printers. I did my homework before going in for a visit to see the actual units and then discuss things like easy of set up, ink cost comparisons, what did they actual knew about the products. I am a small business owner and work from home as much as i work at the office so i needed more that just the basic unit and required a all-in-one, wifi, ethernet, double sided prints & scan, single or 2 tray, and manual paper feed etc. so, many questions and the were SUPER patient. I left with the idea i was going to buy the HP 9025e but wanted to be sure my wife agreed as she was all over a Brother. I also had a coupon i found online. Please know that not all stores like Best Buy or Staple have stock as it is in short supply, Office Max told me this and they can ship direct from the warehouse so they save on double shipping.

when i returned 5 days later to buy the HP I realized the coupon had expired so i called over another manager as the asst mgr was out. he and i had a nice discussion, he understood and offered me another type of discount to equal the older coupon and i was on my way. No issues, no argument, no i am sorry, just an understanding that i was a customer that had spent time working with his team. all parties got what was needed and i truly appreciated their assistance, that is why i came back and will patronize the store time and time again.

Office Max, you either know how to train your management or how to select those that are truly customer oriented! Best office supply store...

NEVER EVER BUY AN OFFICE DEPOT / OFFICE MAX GIFT CARD! I got an OD/OM gift card for Christmas, but when I opened it to redeem it for an online order, only 3 of the 4 pin numbers were visible. I took it in to the store and they weren't able to read the pin numbers either. I was totally shocked and disappointed that the manager did nothing at all to remedy the situation. After an hour of conversation with an OD rep at the corporate level, he offered to credit a $61 item in my cart (which was definitely appreciated), but the bottom line is that we're still out almost half the value of the gift card that was purchased! I don't think I've ever posted a google review before, but I'm very, very disappointed in Office Depot/ Office Max--both in the management and in the integrity of the company. Up 'til now they have been my favorite office supply source which is a pretty well known fact, so I'm posting this because I don't want the same thing to happen to...

The moment I walked into this Office Max in Longmont, Colorado today I was greeted by an associate and directed to where I was requesting product.

I was able to find what I was looking for and Nancy at the front desk register was extremely helpful and kind with great customer service. Nancy asked if there was anything else she could help me find and was very friendly. Nancy went above and beyond to help with price checks and the quantities I was was requesting. Nancy took notice what I purchased and asked if I would like any additional products that would fit my needs based on my current purchases. I really thought that Nancy was a genius during my check out.

Thank you Office Max. I appreciate the helpful staff at this location and will be back to purchase more as a loyal customer.
