October 2024: session everytime i go back service gets worse. The food is good but either the servers must manage the dishes better or the cooks.
In a parry of 8 the dishes kept coming at different times. The molcajetes were the last one and 1 molcajete came about 15minutes after all the others had their food. Seems they're not prioritizing plates accordingly. If you're doing nolcajetes they should be some of the first and let them cook with the heat while you prep the other dishes. The waitress seemed was fairly new didn't seem too willing for requests. Despite asking needed more chip and telling her yes she never brought chips until had so.eone else. She was also told to bring salsa for plates and she brought chips salsa and despite also informing her she o ly forcibly smiled and never brought the salsa once again dishes were ordered with flout tortillas and we were brought only corn. All this happe ingredients while wIting for the last dish and food continuing to get cold.
The molcajetes which main purpose is to have hot food until end were Luke warm.
Not sure what's going on some of the waiters are defia tell trying but others are only there for a paycheck but not work.
Update: last instance we were here in a group the hostess wasnt very welcoming or on top of her job. Seemed more concerned chatting with trainee or assistant then tending to customers providing menus or checking for available seating.
I ate my dish but my dish was a little charred too much but we had waited bit longer than expected 45+ MIN. They took much longer to BRing the last dish after athey had brought everyone elses dish. They kept forgetting flout tortillas and kept bringing corn for everyone.
Chips and salsas were not being refilled for 10+ group.
I was a bit dissapointed and hope they can train and manage better for busy crowds or days. Didnt seem the staff is able to handle as manager seemed to have to do things himself frequently. Older guy because the other Im assuming the supervisor or main manager despite not tending to tables hasnt given very welcoming demeanor on couple instances .
Original : I've been to this restaurant Bout 5 times over the last few years. My very first time I was in a rush so didn't quite get a feel for the atmosphere and all. However the service has always been great and food tastes great also.
Recently we came in a large party during a weekday and I was surprise at the exceptional service. No mistakes were made and every single person enjoyed their meal. Think that says quite a bit of the effort they put forth, they took orders promptly, brought drinks and eventually brought everyone's food.
It was on Thursday so many not not as many customers as there would be on a weekend.
I recently saw on their page they won best Longmont restaurant or maybe even Boulder county not sure, but I can see why if they can provide this type of service consistently.

Not the best experience on my take-out order, and won't be back. Google showed that this restaurant was open until 9pm. and that this place had both curbside, and a drive-up window for take out orders to be picked up. It didn't offer either of those.
I placed our order a little after 8pm, since Google said they were open until 9pm on a Sunday, which is pretty good considering most places closed at 8pm on Sunday. Headed there to get the food, and got a call shortly after telling me the food was "there for awhile" and they were "closing." It was around 8:27pm when I got that call, so how could they be closing if they advertise open until 9pm, and how was my food "there for awhile?" The young lady who called me made it sound as though I was keeping the entire restaurant staff there, all waiting on me to get my takeout so they could leave. "We will have it for you, but we are closing." So, in spite of my GPS sending me to the wrong place first, I managed to get there pretty quickly after that, because I felt bad.
When I arrived, first I noticed NO curbside or drive-up window, as advertised on Google search. In addition, the parking lot was FULL, and customers were going in, and out.
I go inside, and I am thrown off by the Blue Agave signs, and the bench that says Blue Agave. I thought Blue Agave was an entirely different place in town? When I enter the restaurant, it was bustling with customers, some at tables eating, some people being seated, servers bringing out food, kids running around. Didn't seem like they were closed, or trying to close to me. Not sure why I got that phone call, when clearly they were still very much open and seemingly packed from front to back!
Then, I wondered if I was in the wrong place. I went to the front, expecting to be told they were not Tequila's and they didn't have an order for me. I gave the hostess my name, tried to explain that I was sorry if I did keep them (in spite of them NOT being closed )only to basically have my bag of food practically thrown at me, with no acknowledgement of what I was trying to say. Whatever I guess?
If I hadn't already paid for my food online, I would have left it there without paying and walked out after that unsavory interaction!
When I got home, ,my combo order was incorrect. My friend's mole was subpar, and not even as good at Big City's in Loveland! Also, we were given as rather small cup of salsa, not even near enough for the large bag of chips intended for two people to share, however the salsa was tasty and I could have eaten more of that, which is why I give it two stars. Regardless, neither of us finished our entire meal because it wasn't that good.
If I had known it would have been such a poor experience overall, we would have just went to...

I decided to visit Casa Agave Friday May 3 I was seated the waitress asked me what size margarita I wanted this did not happen the first time so I said what ever i had in the globe size glass last time and went to wash my hands so when I came back to my table was this ridiculous fish bowl size glass. I was flabbergasted and surprised the waitress was its Friday its OK ridiculous she should have been up front there small margaritas (which I had the first time are 5$ this was $30) If you cannot be honest with your clientele and inform patrons to try and up your bill is sad and unprofessional. Sadly the night went downhill from there when I came back to the table and saw the drink a couple in the next table saw my face and explained that this had happened to their daughter and they always ordered smalls. That being said we began talking and began to have a lovely conversation they asked me to sit and join them then sadly what began as a lovely conversation began to change the woman was repeating things she had just said I realized she may have some cognitive issues then she want to the bathroom and when she came back she was screaming at me calling me profanities I was shocked this was such a flip ( I realize now she was having a sundown episode or some mental snap) I do not expect the restaurant to be able to control their clients behavior but I do expect them to be able to step in and diffuse a situation they DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING not one person asked to see if I was OK what was going on this was at 530 in the evening if they don't know how to diffuse and help they should close...
