
Crossfit Citadel is definitely not what I expected. Coming off of a back surgery several years ago, I didn't think I would ever again be in a position to lift weights or work on metabolic conditioning but I figured I would just give it a shot and see what happens. I guess because of the competitions I had seen on TV and some of what I had heard about Crossfit, I didn't feel like someone at my fitness level (0) would be welcome there but I haven't felt that way at all. The group atmosphere allows for the novice and the elite to work at the same time, pushing together towards a common goal of self improvement. Read moreThe atmosphere is electric. Between the trainers and fitness community here, they all treat you like family. An encouraging family! Shea and Tommy, the trainers are beyond helpful. This is my first time ever in CrossFit. I’ve always dreamt of doing it, but was too fearful, either bc lack of knowledge or bc of my size. These two trainers have been encouraging and welcoming from day one! They both even offer guidance in nutrition at whatever stage you may be at with it and one on one training as far as technique goes if you are having a hard time grasping any of the exercises.
