McClelland Arts Center — Local services in Longview

I dance here almost every Saturday when VanCity rents (leases?) the Center. It's a 45 minute drive from Saint Helens to Vancouver for me but it's more than worth it. Especially since Singles are welcome so I don't have to try to find someone to go with me. Not that I haven't tried. [smile]

I get a Dance Lesson from 7-7:30 pm. A different dance each week. Waltz, Tango, East or West Coast Swing, Salsa, several different Two Steps, etc.

Then I can practice my dancing from 7:30-10:00 pm although I leave early since it's a long drive back to Saint Helens and I have to get up early for work.

All of this for an $8.00 Cover. And they even have Finger...

They seem to have a wide variety of Activites & Classes for Kids. But I go almost every Saturday Night when VanCity rents (or leases) the Center for Ballroom Dancing.

VanCity offers a half Hour of Dance Lessons - Tango, Salsa, East & West Coast Swing, Line Dancing, Waltz, Fox Trot, and many more - from 19:00 - 19:30. It changes each Week.

Then the dancing begins. A different dance each song but you are free to do whatever dance you wish. For example, when it's the Nightclub Two Step (I believe), I have a regular partner who dances the Foxy with me.

Singles are welcome which is why I drive 45 minutes...
