Golden Crown Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Lorain

Very large portions and always fresh and fast! I love the owners, very friendly and great at running their business! I started frequenting the restaurant about 7 years ago because I lived one street over and could walk there in about 5 minutes. I was struggling and out work at the time, the lady that owns the restaurant knew that I had fallen on hard times and knew that I had very little money to spend. She thanked me for coming to her restaurant even though I could barely afford it, and would frequently throw in little extras for free because she knew I couldn't afford to buy extras. Bless her heart, because of her kindness, I was able to eat somedays that otherwise wouldn't have been able to. She renewed my faith in humanity. The very best Chinese food...

Pretty good. They always know it is us when we call. We have tried a range of their food. Some days it is definitely better than other days, but for the most part - it is pretty good. Some things on the menu are slightly different than what I was use to from many other Chinese food places. The Wonton Soup could use some work since they have almost no filling and the wrapper tends to be mushy. I really enjoy their lo mein. Portions are decent. Price is good. We almost always order the "dinner for two" which is general tsos, chicken broccoli, wonton soup, pork fried rice, and egg rolls. It's ready within 10 minutes and is all around good for the less...

i never wrote a review after eating food from here 10+ years... My mom would order from here when i was a kid, we moved out of lorain 8+ years ago and after i was old enough to drive and got my car . i still make that 30 minute drive to come back , never dined in, just order over phone and picked up. NEVER had a bad experience with this place. super nice and friendly. i never wanna live to far from this place honestly . no other Chinese restaurant ive been to is this good and ive had the rice at the Amherst location... wasn't as good.. but then again. im basic and only get fried rice n there sweet and sour chicken from time to time. .....
