Recently, the customer service at the Lancôme counter at this Bloomies is EXTRAORDINARY, thanks to the new ebullient counter manager RUTH. Ruth is so personable, and her cheerful disposition makes your shopping experience fun! As a loyal Lancome client here for over 8 years, I never received a makeup session, despite my loyal family and I spending thousands of dollars on Lancôme moisturizers and eye creams over the years. An amiable, helpful, and enthusiastic lady, Ruth is upbeat, and very accommodating, and she has an abundance of wisdom about the multitude of Lancôme products, having worked with this cosmetics company for well over two decades!
Although I had not yet met Ruth and called her about a makeover, she went above and beyond, calling me back on a Sunday evening to follow up after Bloomies had closed! Ruth graciously called me back again a few days later and kindly arranged for a highly knowledgable and experienced makeup artist Julie to do a makeup session for me! When my sister and I visited Ruth before my makeup appointment, she pulled out a drawer full of samples of foundation colors and gave us a few to preview before finding the right one for my makeover and purchase. Wow! We were surprised: we never knew anything about this, despite coming here for over 8 years! In fact, the foundation shade that Ruth advised me to use was spot on, great choice!
Speaking about knowledgable, Julie - a gifted makeup artist at Lancôme - is detail-oriented and very clean in her work, sanitizing the makeup utensils. I greatly appreciate her guidance about the Lancôme makeup products. She helped me purchase two eyeliners, foundation, pressed powder - wonderful makeup products that I have never purchased before, other than Absolue moisturizers and eye creams. Ruth and Julie - such lovely and thoughtful sales professionals - encouraged me to purchase products that I had never considered using before! If the previous counter manager, from whom I purchased skin care products devotedly for over 8 years, had just once let me have a makeup session with her, I would have discovered these amazing makeup products much sooner! I went to customer service, Richard called Sandro ca bc it’s a lease counter which I understand, when Ashley here, she said it’s not a sellable condition she can accept, hey girl, that’s why I had to rerun it, she tried to push me back to online return, so I just let her scan the code which allowed me drop off in store, then I waiting for my receipt came out, but after 2 mins there’s nothing so I was assuming she didn’t scan at all or she just did nothing but pretending she scanned it. Then I explained I’m not returning in store, I hit the bottom return as online, but I had the option to chose drop off in ups or in store, I’m dropping off now, what’s wrong with that? Long for short, they truly gave me hard time for return this. Then I asked for manager, this dude Richard was like : I’m the manager, ok then store director please! Finally one of a manager was here, I explained to him, I said this is the option that online have to me, I can drop off in store, why they don’t want accept this to me? Manager questioned them and they tried to make the story. I’m sorry, Bloomingdales service is like this now???? Long for short, after manager got involved, they finally “take”the return. Guess what, scan the code and receipt Printed out! additionally, I’m not an English speaker, these 2 cuties laughing at my English when I talked to them. I have been a customer for at least 3 years and came previously from being a loyal shopper at Nordstroms for 7 years. I have had a wonderful experience for the past few years, I do not shop regularly (weekly/monthly) but every few months my wife and I will shop for quality apparel and assessories at Bloomingdale's. When we do we do not mind spending a large portion of our budget due to the level of quality provided.
Two days ago, I was consulting a sales representative who was very kind and helpful. She spent hour helping me find a new pair of shoes I needed to wear yesterday for an event. I gave her my size and proceeded to try to fit at least 6 pairs of shoes over the hour we spent there. After going back and forth trying items, it came to our attention that the store did not in fact have my exact size I needed (10.5EE). The representative informed me of multiple reasons to attempt to purchase the 10.5E (a standard non-wide size). Some reasons she stated were that I have 365 days to return the shoe if it was in sellable condition. She stated the shoes will stretch and the toe box will be more comfy and it should be fine.
