I recently bought a motorized recliner chair for my pregnant wife so she can nurse our daughter comfortably. The chair retails for about $700 new online, but we were able to get it for under $400. The one we purchased only needed a few loose screws tightened and a little lubrication on the rails, which is to be expected when shopping at a second-rate discount store.
The store itself was cluttered with random items scattered everywhere. Itâs disorganized, messy, and not air-conditioned, so my wife and I couldnât stay inside for long without needing fresh air.
Iâm leaving two stars because, while the deals are good, the service is seriously lacking. We bought the chair earlier in the day and returned near closing time (around 5 p.m.) with a truck to pick it up. A few employees helped load the chair into our SUV, but they placed it upright, which clearly wasnât going to fit. When I tried to reposition it with their assistance, they suddenly scurried off under the closing warehouse door, leaving my pregnant wife and me with a 100-pound chair hanging out the back of the truck. My jaw was on the floor as I stared at the shut warehouse door in the empty parking lot. Unreal.
We eventually managed to load it ourselves, but my wife should never have had to risk straining her back just because the staff wanted to clock out early. Their disregard for helping us really threw me off. I wonât be returning to this swap-meet-style store. The customer service left a bad taste in my mouth, and the way they treated usâfirst-time customersâwas unacceptable.
The owner wasnât there, which probably explains the lack of accountability. Without supervision, the employees seemed to do whatever they wanted, which is a real shame. I donât recommend shopping here. The products often have damage/defects, are poor quality, or, in the case of food and perishables, are near expiration which is why they are there in the first place. Save your hard-earned money and buy new from a store that stands behind its products and...
Read moreMy husband and I have been loyal customers here and have never had any issues â until today. Yesterday, my husband bought a pair of shoes for our son, but they were too tight. We came back today with the shoes in the original bag and the receipt, hoping to exchange them for a different size. Unfortunately, no other size was available, so we picked up a few other items to purchase instead.
At checkout, we told the cashier we wanted to exchange the shoes. She informed us that store policy does not allow exchanges on sold items, which we understood and accepted without any problem.
However, the situation escalated unnecessarily when the manager got involved. He started questioning us, implying that we didnât come in with the shoes at all because the camera supposedly showed our bag was empty. He accused us of stealing a $15 pair of shoes â right in front of our children and other customers.
Despite my husband explaining that he bought the shoes the day before and that he is active-duty military â someone who would never risk his integrity â the manager continued to call us liars. He even threatened to put our photo on the wall as if we were criminals caught shoplifting.
We were humiliated, disrespected, and clearly racially profiled. This baseless accusation damaged our dignity and reputation in front of our kids and everyone in the store. We will never return after this disgraceful treatment.
We fully intend to pursue all appropriate actions to hold those responsible accountable and to make sure no other customer has to go through this kind of...
Read moreBulldog!! I used to go every other day to this place, since 2017, buying stuff and getting good deals sometimes broken items that at the end Bulldogâs was exchanging with no hesitation. Now June 2019, the staff treat you like they donât need from you, they treat you like youâre there to ask for a favor instead of recognize you give them a check for their families, for example some cashiers have been so impolite; you have to like them and be like their close friend to give a good deal or good service! Now they donât want any returned merchandise, they will tell you, not to return anything at all, because they are giving you a good deal already, I didnât agree to this and now those guys do all possible to make my shopping experience a nightmare suddenly telling you Back Off!! when trying to get products, only a few other employees will give a real customer service and have been helpful and know the importance of serving you as customer..Bulldog! Customers are always First, and always agree to us, is one of the rules for a successful business.. Still taking this matter to the appropriate owners, so much stuff in my possession that is broken and canât just do nothing about it, California laws are clear, money back or exchange products..and the most important, do not discriminate against for race or ethnicity..I donât hide, this is my Real account Iâm a profesional and educated by the best Mentors in USA, I know 100% what is to serve a customer..
