This review is for Mark and Edita (Property Staff) at Canvas LA. My husband and I had an appointment to see an apartment at Canvas. We were already getting a bit disillusioned because the apartments that we had already seen prior to going to Canvas were waaaay to small and overpriced. We get to Canvas and Mark greets us. We get started on the tour and the first apartment he shows us is the one that I fell in LOVE with. He did a great job in explaining the apartment and all of the amenities. He also showed us a few other apartments (with different floor plans) that were available in the complex as well. If you guys are looking for spacious apartments this is the complex for you. Things that I love about our apartment: 1.) Spacious 2.) Washer and Dryer in the unit (folks this is key)!! There is nothing worse than sharing washer and dryer with other tenants or having to go to the Laundromat. 3.) Parking for the both of us. and 4.) Central AC and Heat. Bonuses that we got in our apartment are: spacious patio, a half bath (YES! I said a half bath!!) and an electric fireplace!! Whaaat!! The fireplace is definitely awesome and we have already put it to good use. We don't use the heat on it because we don't need it (too hot to use) but it gives a great vibe when watching a movie. So going back to Mark, he was really awesome, answered all of our questions he was very patient and helpful. Edita was really great too. She was there when we started to fill out the initial application. I filled out my application using my cell phone and for some reason my cell phone decided to be super slow that day. Edita was very patient and nice about it. Mark and Edita THANK YOU so much for all of your help. Jose took the time to show me all the units and amenities. He was super patient and even reached out to me months later when more one-bedrooms opened up--unheard of in LA! I was dead-set on finding the perfect apartment and a building where I'd feel safe and comfortable.
Fast forward to October... the perfect unit popped up. I'm in my dream apartment now and I couldn't be happier. The management team here has truly made me feel so welcome, and the move has been the smoothest process. I still haven't set up my coffeemaker, so I go down to the leasing office every morning to grab a cup and get to say hi to Jose, Edita and Bill. They're always lovely to me. I just can't say enough good things. It's been a great experience so far and exactly the type of community I've been looking for.
Shout-out to Carlos and Ray for fixing any and everything quickly with a smile...and Cesar, too! We are close to downtown and incidents are sometimes unavoidable, but security handles what needs to be handled and are super approachable. It's a huge relief to feel safe. Basically, they got the dream team over here.

My husband and I were really interested in leasing an apartment here, but have had a terrible experience after our initial phone call. Set up a virtual tour. No one called us, so we called them. Spoke to someone who passed us off to Edita because his phone doesnāt work for virtual tours. Never got a call from Edita. Called back 30 minutes later, Edita was no longer available for the day. Called back three days later, the move-in special had changed, but we were finally able to set up an appointment with Edita for a virtual tour. Time for the tour, no call. So we call. She seemed to have forgotten that we had a tour scheduled. Edita seems really nice but maybe a little overwhelmed with the call volume because it seems to be just her doing most of the work. We didnāt see the amenities, just the apartment. The apartment was okay but we were interested in a different unit. Edita said she would text us the information. Never did. So we text her about a few units we saw on the website that we were interested in, no response. Havenāt heard from anyone since.
