*Parking is surprising $10 or street parking around, usually free on Figueroa and 1st area if you're ok for a walk, they do have valet I believe as well but not sure about where, and also plenty of outside seating to enjoy fresh air and hanging out with your friends while you wait for your show.
*Au Lac DTLA is a perfect pairing for a bit to eat before/after a show (close at 9pm) but tell them Sean sent ya whenever you go and I will get extra hugs when I go there. I hosted an opem mic there and love promoting yheor food, heart and lovely atmosphere! They are just opposite the Music Center block diagonally and walking distance. Park for both experiences if you like!
*Also, Grand Performances are happening weekly in the summer if you want to enjoy that experience as well and park all together. (Double check the hours for leaving your car there in the eve, and its a longer walk to the...
Read moreI have recently had the misfortune of getting caught up in a Government genocide whereby friends murdered and after 9 years i wound up Homeless spending all to bring justice for Jesus. I work full time Ministry and just cannot find a welcoming place due to anti homeless policy. It is a grave injustice bc I have been through so much and would never dream of hurting anyone but I am literally treated like the old South treated black people not wanted at most places this one included. I await my Paycheck and do all I can to be a Voice for the voiceless but these folks are bigots big time and I know our Father in Heaven would not approve. Ie., They had a Security officer who BTW I am friends with chase me down and he embarrassed could not even look at me. They had him do this twice. I did not further add to his plight. He is afraid to even speak to me now? So sad the Music Centers bigotry against the HOMELESS. Ty Jesus...
Read moreI finally got to see the Alvin Ailey Ballet last night at the Dorothy Chandler. Words does not describe the flawless, riveting performance. Our seats were perfect. 3rd level, door 31, row H, rear seats 1 & 2. No one bumping us or passing through. You wantes to sit up high in order to take in alllll of the movement on the stage. When you have a chance to see this performance...run don't walk to purchase tickets. Mine were only 60 a piece. There was a pre show talk with the choreographer. It was free to ticket holders. Afterward there was a cocktail soiree following the show. Kinda meet and greet. It was $75pp. Parking was only $9. Not bad. There is limited street parking. Uber is always a great option or Metro. There are many fine restaurants available if you care to dine before or afterwards. Be warned...MAKE A RESERVATION. There are many performances going on simultaneously at the adjacent theatres and centers....
