Seller perspective: I have to give this concept 5 stars. BUT...My family and I have had racks there for years. The people are very nice. There is a learning curve and sometimes we make money and sometimes we don't make a lot, but always make back our initial investment. This last time, we thought we had good stuff, but had only made $13.60 for 6 days. Then, we sold a few more items and walked away with a bit more. There are a few misses though that I think should be addressed. However, I'm not sure that the owner, although responsive, is very open to make those changes. The back of the store is a dead zone, not well lit at all and deeply buried behind other racks. How about a shoe and purse area back there so our shoes and purses are shoved under the racks. They need to be featured. Or put them in the other dark area to the right of the dressing rooms. Also too dark. If not, lighting! I go back there sometimes, but the front is light and airy. One day they had an event in the back parking lot and it opened the back up so beautifully. How about drawing in the open air market people with incentives? The other huge miss is that we mainly make sales on the weekends. Obviously true of retail in general, but I have not seen many events promoting us, except Insta. and European candy, that is cute but has nothing to do with us selling. Also, it's expensive. Susie used to take photos and do Lives everyday with things on and it was great. She's long gone. I wish there was more promotion during the week. Tax free Tuesdays? Taco Tuesdays, Charcuterie Wednesdays, whatever! When we make money, Dresscue makes money and as great as a concept, more attention (gratitude) needs to be given to the seller, who is bringing in the bacon to begin with. Food for thought. Nevertheless, I still respect the concept and will continue to sell because the employees are pretty awesome and the concept is really smart. Draw more people in for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur review is from a point of view of a seller/renter. My wife and I have been renting racks at Dresscue for quite some time now. We quite heavily relied on them during the writers strike.
But sadly this year our experience has been pretty lackluster. We have noticed the customer service just go down and down with each passing month! We had an extremely disappointing experience renting a rack at Dresscue very recently.
At the end of our renting period, we went to pick up our unsold items, only to find that not all of our clothing was there. The staff couldn't locate all of our pieces and seemed completely unorganized! To make matters worse, over the following week(s), we were called five separate times to come back and pick up additional items that had been mixed up with other racks!
Each time we had to go back, it was a hassle, and the staff never apologized or offered any kind of compensation for the inconvenience. This experience has left a bad taste in our mouth, and we personally wouldn't recommend Dresscue to anyone looking to rent a rack. They need to seriously improve their organization and customer service. We sincerely hope our review helps them to improve their customer service and experience, so that we can go back to them, but till then... I guess it's mainly garage sales and flea...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEdited 3/2025: theyāve raised their prices and commission and while I made about 600 the first time this time I made 43 dollars in two weeks after selling 18 things (after commission and rack cost). The last two times Iāve had missing items with little care from the staff which is a bummer. I put security tags on everything but they said if things are stolen itās not their problem. Iāve still found great things as a buyer but wonāt be selling again since it ended up basically costing me money and time. I think perhaps the staff is overworked instead of not caring? But I miss how it used to be! Great concept though.
Original post: This store is such a fun concept because it feels like youāre really shopping in peopleās closets. Selling here is easy and the staff is so so so nice and supportive in helping you sell, too, Iāve gotten some gems here as...
