About 10 minutes ago my husband came in to exchange his Essentials Fear of God shirt that he received for his birthday for a smaller size(this brand is made for athletes and runs extremely large). He went in, couldn’t find any size M’s, and found some shoes for me that he wanted to get me instead. He went up to the register and was told by the employee that his receipt wasn’t a receipt so she couldn’t help him. Then she called the manager who informed her that it was a gift receipt scanned and tried to say that the item was already returned on April 9th. I was on the phone at this point and could very clearly tell by their tone that they were accusing him of trying to cheat the system. My husband is a dark skinned and very tattoo’d Mexican firefighter and I’ve seen him profiled countless times so I’m very familiar with the tone. At that point, I told him “Nothing has been returned and they’re profiling you. Tell them that this was a birthday gift and my neighbor who lives in porter ranch gave this and the receipt to you.” It took them another 5 minutes to realize that there were multiple items and barcodes on the receipt, and that they were looking at the wrong item. It wasn’t until he asked if there were first responder discounts that their tone changed. From my husband’s mouth, “I thought the worker was rude until I met the manager, who was even worse.” Had they done their job humbly instead of holding their nose up at someone who risks his life for our community, they would have just read the line item and seen that they were looking at the wrong item. Needless to say we won’t be back. We’ll stick to...
Read moreIt was my first time visit at the new shopping establishment. I've only shopped at Nordstrom Rack a couple times before but I like that they have some pretty good deals. So I decided to check it out. I was in need of a last minute gift and knew I would find that item of clothing there. There's was a security guard at the entrance but he seemed more friendly than intimidating. When you first walk in there's toys, probably to get the little kids' attention, a clever tactic. I looked around to find the women's section, the signs were helpful. I checked out the shoes and their selection is limited but unique as well. There were some cute Vans and Sperry shoes. And the Nikes were at a great price. I didn't find anything I particularly liked but there was some potential, maybe in clearance. Next I went to find the underwear I needed to buy and it was a bit frustrating how disorganized the underwears were but that's understandable. The pair I finally found was pricey but I was already out of time to keep looking. Then picked up a few shirts that were on clearance. Limited clearance selection but worth a look. I went on a Wednesday around 5PM and it was quiet and peaceful, the cashier was friendly and signed me up for the rewards program. I will definitely be going back when I have more time. Pic is the...
Read moreHey there, I wanted to share my recent experience at Nordstrom Rack, and let me tell you, it wasn't great.
So, I'm in line to buy something, right? And I ask the cashier if she can break a $20 bill for me. Simple request, right? But nope, she straight-up refuses. I mean, come on, it's not like I'm asking for a huge favor here.
Then, things get even worse when I try to pay with my card. The darn payment machine decides to act up, causing a delay. Instead of just fixing it, the cashier, Christine P, decides to make a snarky comment about how my card probably doesn't have enough money on it. Seriously? Way to kick someone when they're down.
Look, I get that everyone has bad days, but that's no excuse for treating customers like garbage. We all deserve a little respect, especially when we're spending our hard-earned cash. Nordstrom Rack needs to step up their game when it comes to customer service, because this kind of attitude is...
