Horrible first experience today (Saturday).

After being seated, a sever approached and ask if we wanted any water or drinks before we ordered and we said we were ready to order (took about 30 min to be seated and we were hungry). We ordered very basic rolls (4 California, 2 spicy salmon, and one shrimp tempura roll).

It took about 20 min before they brought the first roll which was the shrimp tempura roll (5 piece). We gave it about 5 min thinking we would get the rest soon, before my son (5 y.o) said he was hungry. He took two pieces, I took 2, and my wife took 1. It then took another 15 min before bringing another partial order (2 spicy salmon).

When the sever approached us I ask if he could get the rest of the order out soon since the spicy rolls were for me only and my wife and kids were not eating those. He said “I get those out for you soon”… Nope it took another 10 min before getting the rest of the rolls (California rolls) to us.

To all this, he did not communicate with the cooks that we were waiting for the rest of the order. He continued to pack To-Go orders. I noticed that the cooks (about 6 of them) were all working on Ramen orders. I kid you not, they packed about 30 bags of To-Go orders before we got all of our food.

We finally get all the food and surprise, surprise, they were poorly made and wrapped ( we I’ve made sushi at home and can wrap them better). It sucked to have to wait that long to get half-assed food served. To top it off, the sushi rice was dry and flavorless, just as the rest of the ingredients. Even my 5 y.o noticed and only ate 3 pieces 🫠

Good thing my 3 year old was asleep otherwise he would not have been able to handle...

As I embarked on my quest for noodle nirvana, I stumbled upon this humble ramen joint. What perplexed me was the apparent lack of 4+ stars. Was this an alternate universe where flavor and fun were frowned upon?

We ordered the most popular items, and let me tell you, it was like slurping down a rainbow of flavors. Each noodle strand was like a high-five from a tiny angel of deliciousness, and the broth? Oh, the broth! It was like swimming in a pool of liquid gold, if gold tasted like umami heaven.

The ambience was decent, but what really struck gold for a tired parent was the kids play area just outside the restaurant. It was like dining in the splash zone at SeaWorld, but with less Shamu and more tiny humans. If you have kids, it's a recipe for a noodle-tastic good time.

In conclusion, this ramen joint deserves every star in the Michelin constellation (ok, maybe not Michelin). I urge you to embark on your own adventure to noodle nirvana, and let the ramen rescue you from the clutches of mediocrity. And hey, with that play area, you might even score some well-deserved grown-up time while the kids frolic!

Pro Tip: if you’re ordering online for pickup, your order might show ready online but it might take longer. Even on less busier nights like Mondays, it might take 30-40 minutes for order to get ready. If you’re sitting on tables next to the door, you might have people waiting for their pickup orders right next to you. Avoid...

My wife and I stopped by here to grab a late lunch. We found parking just fine on Labor Day near Ulta Beauty and walked to Silverlake Ramen. It's located behind Finney restrauant so you can't miss it near the kids play area. When we walked inside, they were not busy at all and seated us right away. We started off with 2 water and their spicy edname. I knew what I wanted but my wife was choosing between the classic or blaze so we asked our waiter. He recommended the blaze because it has more spice to it so my wife chose that with chicken and added the mushroom. I got the Shoyu on Fire with chicken at medium level. Our ramen noodles came out quick and my wife totally loved her selection. I give her my corn that came with my soup and she really like it. I like my Shoyu as well and it had a kick to it. If you have T-Mobile then you'll likely won't get reception in there so the waiter told me to connect to Finney wifi. Our dining experience was excellent and our waiter was amazing with us. He kept checking in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. We would come back and highly...
