Literally just left this place. I can't review the food today, because no one took our orders after we sat down and waited and waited. This is the first time that I have ever left a restaurant in anger without ordering. This place is a JOKE. Service was non-existent. The kids..(Literally) who are serving you are inadequately trained. The place wasn't busy; however, after the drinks were brought, no one came to take our orders. We waited 20 minutes or so, but it appeared that they were short on staff. I feel bad for the young people who are working there. I feel that the owner and the management has failed the servers and the customers. BTW, this is not my first time here. My wife and I visited this place right after they opened and the food and the service were great at that time, but over the last year the quality of both have suffered. I am sorry to say that I no longer will be coming back to this restaurant. I tried very hard to support this local establishment, but the owners have ruined a good thing in the name of saving...

With about 30 people in restaurant we sat down to order. The sake arrived and after placing our order the next guest appearance of our server was about 40 minutes later delivering our first first item a bland cut roll. About 20 minutes later the 4 crackers with some awful tasteless minced fish masquerading as spicy tuna on cracker. Could not eat this without fear of my future. The lady bolting from pillar to post was trying her best wearing every hat one could muster as an employee. She was server bus boy cashier host etc. Very sweet but totally embarrassed. We placed napkins over the second dish to remove the reminder of its taste. The apparent manager adjusted the bill and we paid. We usually spend about $160 at sushi and left in mourning of our $32 adjusted payment. The restaurant is beautifully designed modern and pleasant only the food is the problem. I really hope it gets pulled together or I question its survivability. It’s very pricey too and the saying getting what you pay for here...

Located in the Porter Ranch Vineyards, it's one of the newer eateries at this location. Parking during the beginning of the weekend is problematic as it gets super busy because of the multitude of restaurants and the AMC Theatre. Walking into the place it seems a little too bright taking away from the ambiance. Stylistically it's a modern sleek eatery. Has a small bar 🍸. Decently sized sushi bar for patrons saddling up to sushi chefs.

Service is pleasant and immediate. I ordered the chicken teriyaki dinner aaaannd it was a polite no go. The salad was super bland with a barely there soy vinaigrette, the miso soup was watery and too Salty. The chicken was rubbery and teriyaki sauce was runny. However the sushi turned out pretty good. Had the Philly Roll, creamy salmon hand roll, and the 911 roll.

I'll have to try the other dinner items, but the chicken teriyaki in its current form is a no go. Definitely go there for there...

We had a wonderful dinner tonight at Tomodachi Sushi in The Vineyards at Porter Ranch. It was just a quick five-minute walk from our hotel and tucked into a cute little shopping center area. We chose to dine outside on the patio, which was perfect. Our server Jess was so cute and awesome—she helped us decide what to order and gave excellent recommendations. We started with the extra spicy garlic edamame (absolutely delicious!) along with a glass of wine and the plum sake, which Jess recommended. The sake was warm, smooth, and one of our favorites of the night. For dinner, I had the Mexican Roll for that extra bit of spice, while my partner tried the Tamago sushi and was pleasantly surprised by the slightly sweet egg layered over rice. Both dishes were excellent. Overall, it was a perfect and enjoyable evening. Highly recommend Tomodachi Sushi to anyone visiting the Porter Ranch area!

This Sushi restaurant was delicious. Service was excellent, food was very fresh, tasteful & prices were fair. It was our first time here. We were not too sure what to expect because of the criticism on some of the reviews. But, one thing I will say is “Try for yourself & you be the judge. We did and we were not disappointed”. “Roman” was our server & he was awesome he went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. We had the Shishito peppers & Edamame & they were very tasty. We had the Albacore Delight, Alaskan Roll & the Baked Dynamite Roll which were all favorites. We ate so much, I almost forgot to take pictures. All was delicious. We will definitely be back to try more of your delicious Sushi. Thank You Roman for the great Service.
