We had an existing pool that needed replastering and concrete that was cracking/crumbling, had been painted over several times and was a mish mosh of several projects over the years from prior owners and us. It looked so bad. Alex, the owner, came over and gave us a quote. He was on time and provided a very detailed quote as we were torn about whether to fill in the pool, simply drain and replaster or go all out and add a spa and baja shelf to the footprint. Another pool contractor showed up very late to the quote appt without calling to let us know they were running late and then didn’t even provide the quote until a month later, and another pool contractor refused to come and look in person and just wanted some photos and a phone call.

At the time, we decided to hold off on the pool project and then reached back out to Alex down the road and he came over and went through the details again and once again, we were very impressed! We had a good feeling about him and decided to go all out and have no regrets so adding a spa, adding a baja shelf, making the deep end shallower (as it was too deep), re-doing all of the concrete around the pool and in front of our detached garage and adding drainage everywhere we could. He was also very patient with all of my questions (as I am very detail-oriented and hate decision-making).

The construction went longer than we had expected, and there were some issues along the way, but Alex made sure to resolve any issues we had during or after. Carlos was the project manager, and he is no doubt a very hard worker. There were some communication issues as I work from home, my mom lives out back and we have pets so we needed to be notified when things were happening so that we could coordinate around it. So better communication would be my constructive criticism, but all in all, we are very happy with how it all turned out and know that if we have any problems, Alex or Carlos will take care of it. And we would definitely use them again for any related projects. I will also say that I was very impressed with the two guys who did the plumbing, electrical and equipment. I was looking to get a new pool installed for some time- it was really tiring because all the other companies I called never made me feel comfortable. Some would not show for appointments, others run very late and some would make me feel as if my business is not important, they would not listen to my vision. I finally found Alex at Premiere Pools and that was a very positive refreshing change and it revived my passion into getting a pool in the first place. I called Alex, he gave me an appointment to meet to following day!! He was ready to go, brought forward ideas, measured my space the same day and had a CAD rendering a couple days later!! I felt very comfortable, he knows his craft and has a team of very experienced professionals from the excavator, rebar, tile pro, plumber to system start up. I’m very picky about what I want and Alex is picky about jobs coming out perfect so we got along great!
