Reveal Playa Vista — Local services in Los Angeles

If I could give Reveal NEGATIVE stars, I would! After living here and being a tenant in perfect standing — rent always paid early, left the apartment in perfect condition as when I moved in, always nice and polite and never once complained about anything — when I left, they told me that my “fully refundable deposit” as stated on the contract, is never refunded — as a rule — bc they keep it to prep the apartment for the next person, as in $400 to paint the apartment and other ridiculous charges. If I had been told this in the contract or at any point in the lease, I would never have hired cleaners to detail the apartment and get it all ready before leaving. I lived there alone, mind you, and the apartment was in immaculate condition when I left, after only having lived there for one year!

I have lived in many apartments and homes that I have rented and have never — not once — not gotten my full deposit back at the end of my lease!

Fast forward 1.5yrs later, and I get a letter from a collection agency!!!!! First time in my life! Stating that I owe Reveal $250 ABOVE the $1000 deposit they already kept, for all the preparations for the next tenant! I tried to explain to the collection agency that I did not owe this amount, but was threatened by them and told that there was no way around this and I was forced to pay, or else my credit would be affected and they would escalate it!

I tried reaching out to Reveal but it seems there is no one to talk to who would handle this situation, and I got the same indifferent response from Patrick Strong and everyone else I spoke with, and was forced to pay a debt that was not mine to pay!

Also, while living there, multiple neighbors and I got our things broken into and stollen in the parking garage, including very expensive bikes that were securely chained. Conveniently, there were no cameras to capture any of it, and nothing was done by management to change that.

To say that I am absolutely beyond APPALLED by this whole situation is an understatement! I could never recommend this place less! Beware! All they want is your money, and...

Good afternoon. I am 57 years old, my husband is 76 years old. My husband and I have been living here in this house for many years. I have been living for 6 years, my husband longer. Now there is a desire to leave because of the people who work in your office, namely Renee Anglin. There is a “no smoking” sign in our house. On the second floor in apartment 220 they smoke constantly; there is a mug on their balcony with cigarettes in it. These neighbors of apartment 220 are friends with the office and therefore are allowed to smoke here. However…. everyone else has to smell cigarettes. ?() ?) My requests are always ignored by the office. Moreover, at night in apartment 220 the doors slam, almost every night. And Renee Anglin advised me to take nerve pills. At night, you can hear pops from apartment 220. Almost every night. However, the office does not take any action. Renee Anglin kicked me out of the office today and told me ———— “go away.” This was in the presence of another office worker. She also told the night guard not to respond to my requests and messages. After such disrespect, my husband and I lost the desire to live here. My husband has been living here for 10 years, I think. Renee Anglin is abusive towards residents. And now she insults me with her behavior too. I had a better opinion of her. Many people left here precisely because the office did not want to do its job. the workers in the office don't respect us. ———They threaten us sometimes! And they even kick us out of here. Can you imagine? (?) —————Although we feed them. They receive their salaries thanks to us. We pay for everything here. —————- please put things in order here. Thank you....

NIGHTMARE!! I moved here last summer after doing a lot of research for years and visiting, I was so excited when I got here! I loved the community and the neighbors! I have a son with special needs and it took a lot for us to move and we needed certain amenities… within 3 months, all of them were demo’d! We live over the swamp that was once a pool. We can’t even open our windows or balconies due to the construction pollution!! Us, as well as other tenants, are living with nebulizers just to breath. We have what management called the best unit, now I look onto discarded appliances, sinks, and waste thrown onto that swamp, as well as the massive dumpster permanently parked outside my living room window/the front door of the bldg.! We lost my son’s services bc there is no meeting room, fitness ctr or pool for his occupational and physical therapies and tutoring. We’ve not been given any dates for their reopen! It’s disgusting in the hallways! It is a war zone! Management does not care or have any consideration for the tenants! They just collect the high rent, threaten to raise it, and make you live in fear of not having an apartment at any time in the future! I feel duped and upset, we have nightmares, we live over a constant jackhammer, are sick with respiratory and have headaches! It’s the worst decision I’ve ever made! Spare yourselves! RUN!! Even with supposed renovations in a year or two, there is way better in the area for the money... and right now you'd be better off living in...
