The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center — Local services in Los Angeles

This is a great salvation army store. I love the opportunity to buy great items second-hand rather than buy things from something like Amazon or Shein or Temu which is so bad for the planet and people working in those factories.

My one comment would be please make sure that when you're saying you're giving discounts based on certain tag colors that you are ringing that up at the register. When I got home I realized I was charged full price for all the items I had with the green tag which was the tag that was 50% off today. The gentleman helping was very kind. Let me start by saying, I love shopping in the Salvation Army Stores. They always have great stuff, good buys, nice prices. This one however: I arrived one day, a Saturday, no parking. "Hmm", I thought, "it must just be a busy weekend". I arrived one day, a Friday evening. No parking. "Oh", I thought, "Friday night, everyone's out, I understand. I arrived one day, a MONDAY at 2:30 PM. No parking. "well, that's it, never coming back here".

Was in the store today inquiring about the price of a dresser, the cashier told me to wait cause he was stuck at the register. I waited then went back to counter he again said wait. A white group of people came in got immediate help and purchased the dresser. They did the transaction right in front of my face while I was standing at the register. I stated I've been waiting for help with the price of the dresser they said sorry we just sold it. This is how they treat African Americans at that store. I have donated so much to that store for years never again...
