Lanark Skatepark — Attraction in Los Angeles

great park which caters to beginner skateboarders all the way to professionals. Lanark park is a very family oriented environment with a friendly positive atmosphere. Professional skateboarders come to this park, so maybe you might catch one , even get the chance to skate with them, all very friendly and motivating. Have a day off? Is it the weekend? Bring your bbq, family, and setup a table in the shade and watch your kids skateboard, or just bring a chair and sit in the shade, or a skateboard and ride along with all of us. Really this park has everything , playground, basketball, soccer field, jungle gym , baseball field, , pool , and last but not least the skatepark! Skateboarders here are all very friendly and motivating of each other regardless of skillset. Bring your board, bike, roller skates, family, and yourself and come find out what Lanark skatepark...

-not a good environment for kids unless you go in the morning. Potheads show up around 2pm until late at night. -lots of violent behavior -small but has lots of shade which makes up for the small size. -great for all levels of skateboarding. -over all an ok skatepark -another park about 10 min away is called pedlow and is 10x better. If your'e willing to drive farther 20 min away is moorpark skatepark which is the best within a like 4...

This is how a skatepark should be. I’ve been skating this park since it’s inception. I honestly love seeing the locals hangout with lots of friends at the skatepark even if they are smoking weed. Community is the most important thing in life & the skaters here have that. Too many parks people don’t talk to one another, here, it seems everyone goes to school together & it’s a vibe. Especially if you’re beginning to become an old man...
