Kroger — Local services in Louisville

I bought a visa gift card for a family member. When they tried to use it the card wouldn’t go through. We called the Visa card company, they said it wasn’t activated and to call the merchant where we purchased it from. Merchant was Kroger’s on Brownsboro Rd store # 00224. I have my receipt which shows the Visa card number as well as the Visa card. It’s a match but not activated by the store. I called the store manager “Jennifer” She explained that she would take care of it just drop in. Easy fix, right? I stopped in a few days later with my documentation and she isn’t there. However, another manager is there, Erik. He doesn’t really know how to handle the issue so he calls his boss , Jennifer. So, Erik comes back to me and tells me that Jennifer doesn’t recall the 10 minute conversation that she had with me a few days ago. I was basically told that they really didn’t have anything to do with this visa gift card company. But, yet Kroger’s sells Visa cards there and they had no problem with taking my $100.00 to buy it. I asked them to activate it( I have receipts).. no, can’t do that, I asked for a replacement card... no, can’t do that and I even asked them for a Kroger credit.. no, can’t do that. Moral of the story, do not buy your gift cards from Kroger’s thinking that it’s the best place because of double fuel points and don’t count on a wonderful customer experience where you think that they are going to resolve their issue. Done with Kroger period, and I have been a Kroger Fern Creek customer for 25 years. They are a despicable, cowardly, woke company. I look forward to the day they really suffer $$$ wise and start losing serious market share. I now go to Meijers...and love it. First and foremost, because I don't have to leave work at 9:30pm, rush to Kroger, get there at 9:45pm, and rush through the store like a maniac as I get yelled at with constant reminders that they close at 10pm....and let me tell you, they really want you out of there lol. At 9:59pm they literally announce "you have 60 seconds to come to the checkout". It's rude as can be...and just disrespectful to the people giving the company way too much money for groceries. Zero excuse to not be open till at least midnight, Kroger tell us why? Also they never have what I need. So enjoyable shopping at Meijers, taking my time(open till midnight...gasp what a crazy idea) and they have everything I need. Oh and woke Kroger, in March 2022, has STILL not brought back the small carry totes, for those trips when you don't need a full size cart. Why not..oh let me guess, cuz cuz the Covid. Same excuse they use for closing at 10pm. Garbage company,...

I worked here from October to February And Quit because the management team here sucks There is this one Assistant Manager Who is Terrible he only cares about the product that goes on the shelves and not the Employees,Restrooms are Dirty,I will shop at Walmart Next door or go to kroger in Middletown Which is cleaner,Well stocked,More lanes open,Cleaner Restrooms This store sucks Do not work here and if you do Run to the nearest exit I worked in the Produce Department and The Assistant Manager told me i should be shopping here so it can help our bonus not The Employees Bonus but Managements Bonus i worked in the liquor store one Night and Went to check my schedule and sat down on the stool For a breif second and got told we cant sit down Management wants us to Stand up We are not dogs Dogs dont even stand up most of the time they did not care about us at all This Store needs to Do a sweep in some of its managers here
