Absolutely AWFUL all the way around. If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. The waiter, Vladimir, was horrendous. He was incredibly rude from the moment we were seated at the hibachi table. He had an attitude while we ordered and once he got the order, never came back with drinks etc. We went during lunch and ordered 1 lunch meal, and 1 dinner meal. The dinner portion was smaller than all of the lunch portions that were served at the table. So essentially, the value here is complete trash, too. Additionally, once we asked for a different server due to being treated terribly, the server began yelling at my sister from across the table, in front of other guest. Once the cook finally came out to cook (close to an hour after ordering) he was awful! He was incredibly rude, had an awful attitude and at one point when asked my sister if she was a stripper!! This was not only in front of her baby who was with us, but also in front of another family who also had a young child with them. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told "he had to step out somewhere" but the lead chef came over to talk to us instead. Once I explained the situation, he shared with us that it wasn't the first complaint they had received on these men THE SAME DAY, even! Once we paid out bills, the manager magically appeared to ask what had happened. We explained to him the situation and he looked embarrassed and said that he would be taking care of it, but that was the end of it. He didn't do anything to try to make the situation right, which I honestly don't think he could've at that point anyways, but I highly recommend you avoid this place. There are too many great sushi and hibachi places in town to ever go to this place. I highly recommend Kyushu off Hurstbourne or Fuji in Springhurst, among many other great options in the area, but Sake Blue doesn't deserve anyone's business. I'll certainly never be back and I've shared this with several others who have said they won't ever visit here again either. It's unfortunate but I'll spend my money where it is deserved, earned, and appreciated. Not somewhere that treats you as an inconvenience, and like they can't wait for you to just shut up and leave. Yikes. I don't know how this place is still in business but I'd imagine they won't be for much longer, if this is how they treat their customers. Do yourself a favor and go...
Read moreAttention: please be aware that they close at 8:30 PM although website states 9pm. My friend arrives at 8:30 and waits at the front door until I arrive three minutes later. The old lady at the hostess stand was rude and before we even said anything, she was mumbling, talking very low, as well as wearing a mask so we could not hear what she was saying and after asking her to repeat, and still not understanding one word, I asked to be seated as a party of two. Before I could even finish she just started shaking her head NO and I tried again and she just kept shaking her head no! I asked to speak to the manager but at this point servers were starting to gather around staring and trying to figure out what was going on. They were very full inside, but not to the point of needing to go on the wait and had several servers with a few not busy and standing around. I try to avoid going to places that are going to be closed soon because I understand a lot of the workers went to do their closing duties and get out of there as I had worked in the restaurant business for 15+ years including general manager at a fine dining restaurant. For a restaurant to be closing at 9 PM during the week day is already early and is most likely taken in consideration that they will be there well after nine, but decide to start taking tables at that time on days when we closed at 10 PM, corporate policy was we had to take anyone that comes in up until 1015 meaning the soonest they would get done would be an hour later. This also went for the three other businesses I worked for it’s very sad because I’ve heard good things about this place, and was excited to try it and taking two more people would not have caused anyone to stay later than they were already, going to be there because of how many tables we’re still in the early stages of the meal and...
Read moreThis place used to be great. But as of lately, they are falling off service wise. My party of 4 was seated. Everything started out good. We received our soup and salad while waiting on the chef. Our waiter came back about 10 minutes after we received our soup and salad and we didn't see him again until we bagged up our food. A person from our party had to clear the soup and salad bowls herself. We did not get refills. One person needed silverware and had to hunt down another waitress just to get silverware. Someone cleaning up another table brought us our to go boxes. I went and found the manager and the only thing he did was try to go find the waiter. Even another table complained of the same thing. The manager sent the waiter and he starts refilling a glass of water. We've been here waiting forever we do not want refills, we're trying to go! One of our party members ask to speak to the manager about what was happening. Once again, he didn't acknowledge the inconvenience and put in her to go order. Another waiter came over to take our payment. I paid with cash. He did not come back with my change. He brought back everyone's credit card receipt but not my change. I tried to give him a minute thinking he would bring the change back over. About 5 minutes later I asked a staff member to find him because he has my change. She asked for his description but didn't really look. I looked around the restaurant and found him. No apology or anything, just an okay. I'm not sure if he thought the $10 was a tip but there is no way I'm tipping 20% for terrible service and acknowledgement. No apology for poor service from management or...
