I called and asked if a dress was available and they said they had it in the size I was looking for. I asked if I could have it shipped to me and then the lady on the phone went silent. I live in about 35 minutes away, so I said I could try and come in if that was easier. She said that would be easier for her and she grabbed the dress and took my name. She said she put in on hold until the end of next day. I honestly didn’t want to come into the store, since it would be a toll bridge to get there and it would be rush hour. I wasn’t sure if I could make it in time since they closed in less than an hour, too. I definitely didn’t want to wait until the next day, because I had a family event taking place. So, I get there just in time and the lady said that they sold the dress to someone already. She offered me a smaller size and said it might work. I was really upset, because it wasn’t easy to get there. I asked to buy it over the phone and she was reluctant, and so I tried to make it easier on her by coming into the store. Obviously, that is not how customer service is supposed to work. I have shopped at this store numerous times, and have been a customer since I was a teenager. In the many years I have shopped here, I have rarely had a good experience. They didn’t call me which is so incredibly rude and unprofessional! They could have easily called me and told me they sold it someone else, instead of having me drive there to explain the situation. I can’t believe what a waste of time and money this was. I have learned my lesson and will take my...
Read moreI am loyal to one signature store in particular because of their great customer service, and this location definitely misses the mark. I was on the hunt for a dress that was sold out on the Lilly website, and Peppermint Palm had it in stock. It unfortunately was too big when I got it, so I reached out to ask if I could do an exchange when the new arrivals hit. They read all my messages, and never responded. They were attentive when I was looking for a dress and wanted the sale. When it came to doing an exchange, they just decided to blind side me. Luckily I gave the dress to someone in my family who took it off my hands. I would not recommend anyone to shop at this signature store. I’ve been in retail my whole life, and yes returns are annoying, but I simply wanted to exchange my item and spend more money to get the GWP. When you’re selling more expensive clothing to people who aren’t near a store and can’t get the full experience, at least be mindful and follow...
Read moreI went to The Peppermint Palm, tried on this jumpsuit and told the lady that I needed to go across the street to get cash at the Republic Bank. The lady working said okay and I came back less than 15 minutes later and she tells me she sold the jumpsuit. I just find it very rude when I told the lady I wanted it and then she sells it under my nose. The jumpsuit was the only one left in that style so I couldn’t just buy a different one. I will never be going back to The Peppermint Palm due to rude employees with horrible customer...
