Gerstles — Restaurant in Louisville

I dined in and sat at the bar. I ordered 6 wings and a small fry. The bartender Suzanne was really attentive and nice. However, the bartender I believe his name was Lincoln ( tall and kinky hair) was really unattentive and rude. He didn't make eye contact with me once. He never asked was I ok or was my food good. I believe he was racist and rude I spent around 40.00 dollars. The food was fresh and good however he ruined the whole experience for me. He needs to learn how to treat everyone the same especially when spending money at your establishment. I could have picked anywhere in Louisville but I choose your establishment. This is the response for the owner, Im give you an apology alright. I'm sorry I ever stopped into your racist establishment. I don't go to restaurants and make bad reviews unless it's necessary. I know you guys wasn't that busy where as he couldn't at least ask one time was I ok or was my food good? I know you are in denial about racism concerning your worker behavior but I also know that I'm not going to post any negative posts unless it is needed. You will see more people of different etnitices post bad reviews about your restaurant. It's my right to post a review of how I was treated and its your right to post your opinion. But to be honest you're not professional in taking corrective criticism from people. I visited your establishment on Sunday 4/6/2025 and received excellent service from the young lady (bartender) no complaints about her. You are right I won't visit your establishment again. There are other establishments in Louisville that offers nicer service and have non racist workers working for them. First and Last!! We support local establishments 98% of the time. Gerstles Bar isn’t on our list anymore. My husband and I arrived at 5:05 Monday afternoon. Only 6 people in the whole place. When we walked in the female bartender was talking to man and woman at bar. There wasn’t a “Hello, Welcome or Be with you in a minute” given. Understandably because we thought she was waiting on the couple. We sat down at high top table beside bar thinking she’d give us a shout when done. We sat there for several minutes. My husband walked over and stood at the bar by the couple and practically in front of bartender and still no recognition or offer of service. After few more minutes we could tell there wasn’t going to be any service. My husband motioned for me to come over. We heard the female bartender ask the couple if they were just hanging out or wanted to order? How crazy was that? Then as we moved to leave she yelled, “Be with you in a minute!” We left and went to a very reliable local place. We had great service delicious food and were very satisfied that we learned who wants to stay in business and...

Last night my friend was assaulted by security for stepping on the stage reserved for girls (he was unfamiliar with this rule). With no warning he was tackled by multiple security guards and pinned to the floor for no reason. I was also grabbed up for telling them to get off him. Security is on an absolute power trip at this establishment, and I think a lawsuit is in their future. If it were me, you’d be hearing from my attorney. This security here is a joke. And that 5 foot 9 little man who likes to put his hands on people should be looking for a new job.

Edit: the response below is COMPLETELY FALSE. No such words were exchanged with my friend who was tackled. He was on the stage for less than 15 seconds before being tackled.
