Overall I had a good experience with U-haul. The reason for only 3 stars 🌟is regarding the mobile pickup when renting a truck. I rented a 26' truck for a move. When you pick up using the mobile app the software walks you through the process. One of the 1st steps you will need to do is verify the condition of the vehicle. For this purpose there are pictures of the vehicle that you can agree with or dispute by making notes & adding pictures within the application. Pictures were slow to upload in an area that has great phone signal/service. The pictures of the vehicle I rented were obviously very old because the vehicle looked new and NONE OF THE DAMAGE was in ANY OF THE PICTURES. I feel that Q2 should update the photos especially considering the lady that was working there stated that this vehicle was theirs and "we're very familiar with it". She was very polite and helpful but anyone that rents this vehicle could be charged for damage that has been there for a long time. Read moreI have Been at this location for 10 years. After the change in ownership I tried to change to a better parking spot with no success. A Prior store manager put me on a “list” that never existed. Last year the store manager said they were not allowed to keep a list of slot change requests and that it was up to me to check online everyday to see. As such very dissatisfied with lack of service for a long term renter.
I visited today and was finally upset enough after spending 20 minutes trying to get my small boat out of its slot ( almost impossible) or visit the front office. Taylor Valentin was very very very helpful in looking at available slots. The good news was that I was able to get the exact same small slot in a different location. The bad news was that the monthly rate went up 36%. I realize prices are increasing but this is highway robbery. This is no way to treat existing paying long term renters. Read moreBeen with Q2 for many years and stayed when simply self took over. I referred a person who rented a unit and got nothing. There policy is 30.00 referred credit so I do auto pay and after first month wasn't credited I called and told many things but mostly need to talk to there boss to get it okayed and they will call be back. I called twice a week for just over 3 months and they don't answer the phone goes to leaving a message I did and they still haven't called back . Went in today in person cancelled my spot and now myself and the I referred left. There gates are always broken , communication is horrible, no one calls you back and when there's two workers they both ride the cart and close the office. This location Simply self on Chamberlain ln is awful so beware . I went down the street to extra space they match prices or will be them. When Q2 owned and ran this business it was great .
