Spectrum Sight & Sound — Local services in Louisville

Doug Wilder of Spectrum Sight and Sound of Louisville worked with my wife and me to upgrade our existing high end home theater system.

Doug planned with us to accomplish five things. 1) Clean up our existing wiring and scheme it to a professional appearance 2) Add a new Sony 77” TV and install our existing 65” in our bedroom 3) Add a Mcintosh MHA 200 headphone amp to setup 4) Replace my existing sub with a new JL E-12 and finally 5) Run my Mcintosh MENS sound calibration program to attain the best theater sound experience possible.

The work came in two phases; Avery Wilder and John headed up the first phase of work for 1,3 and 4. Their work was professional at a 10 rating and we couldn’t be more pleased. Doug took charge of phase two for 3 and 5. All I can say is that after Doug put the final touches on our system, is that our movie experience rivals what we can hear in modern theaters…all right in the comfort of our home.

Personally, to have established a relationship with Spectrum Sight and Sound in Louisville is the icing on the cake. ( We’re 80 miles away.) They’re there to support our love of music and surround sound. We are very comforted that if we need service in any way, the support is only a phone call away.

From start to finish was very professional. The customer service was beyond 5 stars. Our home has a large open ceiling and we were not sure if we could get Dolby Atmos to work with our room. Doug looked at it and was able to give us suggestions on how it could work. We also wanted a security camera system. Doug got us the quote on the speakers and security camera system and to be honest the prices were less than I was expecting it to be. I then asked him if we could go to larger speakers. He told me he felt like it we didn’t need the larger speaker. Try to think of when you have ever tried buying anything bigger and more expensive. Then they tell you I don’t think you need something bigger and more expensive. That is true customer service! The guys who did the installation were just as amazing as Doug. They were very polite and professional and knew what they were doing. They also cleaned up after the install. I had a big box store come in and install a 85” 8K tv and they left trash and styrofoam everywhere. This is why I looked for some other company that knew what they were doing and more knowledgeable about the products and customer service. I found that company. Could not be happier with Spectrum...

Great experience with Spectrum Sight & Sound. My only regret is that I wish I had taken a "before" and "after" pic. Everything was great from the start. Doug was easy to talk to and understood what I was looking for and even went above and beyond with his recommendations. He created a few estimates to choose from. After I picked one it was just a matter of getting everything in. Installation was a breeze. Wife approval factor is through the roof since she doesn't have to stare at all of my gear anymore.
