This is a wonderful church. I have been going here since I was a baby when Fr. Robertson was pastor. They used to have a Montessori school that my brother and I attended. I have a lot of wonderful memories in this beautiful church. This is also where my husband and I were married. We have baptized our children here. The unique qualities of this church is why we choose it over any other. 24 hour Adoration started by Fr. Cousens. No other church has that. There are two saints on either side of the alter. We also have a variety of Masses. Ordinary Form, Norvus Ordo, Extraordinary Form, and the Ordinariate. If you havent tried a different form, you should! Fr. Jon Erdman with the Ordinariate is absolutley amazing! A wonderful experience overall and great fellowship after the 3 on Sunday at coffee hour. I believe this is a extremely pertinent quality of a church in this day and age. You must appeal to everyone, where they are, so to make everyone feel welcome and get out of the Mass the absolute most they can. Fr. Beach who is the current pastor is an amazing priest who also grew up here and was a server. Father knows and understands the history of this church. He is working on a personal level and has been able to bring out the trueness and inner beauty of the parish. Lets not forget to mention the absolutely gorgeous music that is played every single Sunday. No other church is Louisville has music as beautiful and traditional. The organist Emily is extremely talented. Come visit us! We would love...
Read moreIncredibly reverent and solemn Mass in both the Ordinary and Extraordinary form. Father Beach is a gifted celebrant and exercises his sacerdotal responsibilities with the utmost seriousness. The members of this church clearly appreciate it! There are many young families, particular at the weekend Tridentine Mass. While the dress code is far less formal than some other Tridentine Masses I have attended (e.g., many women without mantillas, many men in jeans or other casual attire), the atmosphere itself is...well...highly Roman. There is no mistaking this for a mere "re-enactment" of the last supper. This is the true and ancient tradition of the Church, alive and thriving in the 21st century. It is breathtakingly beautiful and inspiring, and it leads to an almost physical sensation of grace that stays with you long after the Mass is ended.
EDITED TO ADD: The choir! Oh my goodness, how could I forget to mention them? The sung Latin Mass is one of the most perfect and moving opportunities you will ever have to hear polyphonic Gregorian chant. ...

Negatives, never felt so unwelcome. People, in general, in Louisville are cold, but this place was terrible. I have Lupus and it's hard to walk. I came up to the door, there were young people, not one of them held the door open for me, they all went in front of me. I saw people smirking at me because I walk with a walking stick. The ONLY person who was welcoming was the African American security guard in the back who was so sweet in showing me a comfortable place I could sit. Otherwise it felt like hell, which is odd for a place that's supposed to house God.
Would Christ feel, or be welcome here? No. Sadly not. I can say that seeing this place made me feel very grateful for my home church in southern Indiana, where they hold the door for you, smile, not smirk at you, and welcome you, and talk to you, and don't treat you like they're jeering at you from below the cross you're being...
