The message the owner left is not accurate. I even called him to tell him so. I have proof that I didn't throw a party. One, I was out of town on vacation, and 2 my neighbors could verify that I didn't have a party because I wasn't here. My neighbors and my son would check in on our dogs. That's the extent of people that were in my house during that time. We have decided not to even deal with this man who speaks to his previous customers quite rudely when they have a complaint, and he makes up lies to try and make his story believeable. After 3 years of use, I am having issues with the material on my couch that I was told would hold up for many years. We will see whose story is more believable once I am finished gathering all of my information.
PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING FROM HERE!!! We bought it from here in October 2022. Not even a year ago. The owner is nice, but DO NOT BUY FURNITURE HERE!!!! We had moved and needed new furniture. Anthonys had good reviews. We found some pieces we liked and my DREAM table, which is an AMISH made table I could design myself. I was able to design it etc and was told that it would be made so well that I could pass it on down to my grandkids whenever my kids had a family and it would be in excellent condition. We also bought a side table and couch console table that are already peeling and scratched because they were not sealed well. My brand new Amish table I had to return within a matter of 1 week of getting it because it was already getting scratched in the lacquer. Mind you, this is just due to light usage, not even normal usage. Also, to be clear, this is not a cheap table and should hold up. I called to tell them, and our salesman wanted me to put it through the insurance we bought for the furniture, and I said, "No! I should not have to put it through the insurance policy. It should have been done right the 1st time, so we would like it sent back." After going back and forth and me having to be stern, they sent it back to have it fixed. I got my table back a month or so later, and it was scratched within a day. I told them specifically that when I returned it the 1st time to please make sure they put a thicker and better layer of varnish/lacquer on it so this doesn't happen again. Obviously, that didn't happen since it scratched up so easily and dented after a couple of days of having it back. I reached back out to them, and they have now ghosted me. I'm looking for an attorney at this time because I can't sit and enjoy my new table with my family because every time it's used, it gets new scratches on it. We enjoy playing games together and just rolling dice can put a dent in the table, so we sit on the floor. My oldest are grown and out of the house, and the one at home is 16. So it's not like we have young kids. I have pictures and emails for proof of this. So PLEASE....( I'm not acreaming this part, just stressing it) DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! THEY WILL TELL YOU EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO HEAR. GO WITH YOUR GUT. I WISH I HAD. THEY WILL SAY IT'S REAL WOOD, BUT IT'S COMPRESSED WOOD, NOT LIKE A GOOD HARD WOOD (The table is real wood) IT CHIPS AND PEELS EASLY BECAUSE OF HOW CHEAPILY ITS BEEN MADE. I told them I would put it out there if they didn't make things right, and I don't want people being taken out of their hard earned money. Especially not into today's economy. Thank you for reading. Company will tell you what you want to hear, to get the sale. We purchased an extended warranty on a couch. We specifically told the gentlemen why we wanted the extended warranty. We have littles, who were even with us when we purchased!!
When it came time to use the warranty, they told me they ordered couch cushion replacements. 6 months later, they were still on back order.
We had another item break, just shy of the warranty. Of course Anthonyâs doesnât keep records of warranty info past two years. And now they are telling me the couch cushions were never ordered, because the manufacturer refused. But no one ever called me. To let me know. I questioned this and asked why I was told it was ordered then⌠THE GENTLEMAN HUNG UP on me!!!
So of course Iâm upset with the gentleman for downright lying to us. And the poor customer service. I called back to ask for the warranty info, and he told me to hold on. He kept talking over me, not giving me their contact info. I finally asked him why he wouldnât just give me the âbleepingâ number. Thatâs when he resorted to name calling.
I will never buy from them again. All of the items we purchased from them have broken. Guess we know why they are so cheap!! Low quality products and staff!
Editing to respond to the companyâs response: Pet did soil, plus the cushion fabric was torn. We were upfront about this at the time of sale. I specifically recall asking about this. I told the sales gentlemen we were about to start potty training our kid, and our elderly pet had bladder issues. We were told urine and stains were covered. It was only when we contacted the warranty company that we were told otherwise.
When I called I just questioned why you sell 5 year warranties, but only store info on them for 2 years. YOU got defensive and started to belittle me! The only âprofanityâ used, was in response to the how I was being treated.
We have kids, the furniture was well loved. Donât gaslight a customer to save face.

   Read moreThese guys sold me an Ashley sectional sofa in 2020, that was in exhibition in the floor, instead of a new one. I was sure as I had taken a picture of the sofa when we first saw it, and the tag had âthe same wrinklesâ that the one that was delivered to my house.
I presented my claim in person, and the mgr or owner, assured me that the sofa delivered was new, when I know it was the same sofa that we saw in exhibition.
I requested a refund of my money, but long story short, I lost, I kept the sofa.
I let all close friends that lived in the area, of our terrible experience.
Next time, I decided to only buy from recognized furniture stores, where you can get better response to claims and better customer service, which here simply do not exist.
This furniture lost me as a potential customer, for all my next buys I did.
Update: The furniture replied. I bought a NEW sofa, and took a few weeks to be deliverd, but the one delivered was the one in the floor. Otherwise, if I had agreed to buy that in the floor, it would have been delivered in a couple of days or so. Anyway, this is my story, and just post here so you take this into account on you next furniture purchases. Thank you
Update 2: I see the furniture store claimed they delivered a couple of days after, but I am sure we waited around three weeks, when they finally delivered the sofa from the floor.
