My husband and I needed to replace our 10 yr old traditional coil pillowtop Serta mattress. It was sagging, the coils were starting to poke us and it offered no support. It is a big purchase and we had been debating it off & on for about a year. We finally decided now was the time to replace it. I have read hundreds of online reviews, I have visited every sleep store in the area, I've laid on every mattress in a 20 mile radius and I've talked to several different sales people about my options. My husband & I had narrowed down our choices to either the Tempurpedic or a version of a hybrid bed. I struggle with nerve damage and arthritis in my lower back, and my husband has restless leg syndrome and moves a lot at night. So support, and low motion transfer were high on our list. Sleep Outfitters was the last store I went into. I was greeted by the district manager Rick when I walked in. He was absolutely awesome. I told him I had been on the hunt for awhile, told him my needs, and he immediately pointed me in the direction of 3 choices that would work for me. I brought my husband back today to try out the bed. The store manager Noah was there today working and was so great to work with! They were busy when we were there. There were 3 couples in at the same time, Noah patiently and professionally bounced from couple to couple, helping all of us. My husband & I both were drawn to the Sealy Outfitters To Go 12" Hybrid in a King. It was the best of both worlds for us. It has the support of the innerspring mattress on the bottom, but the comfort and support of memory foam on top. Also, because Sealy/Tempurpedic are the same company, you get the trusted quality of the Tempurpedic, but at a slightly lower price point. The affordability of the mattressed allowed us to splurge and buy the adjustable frame! Having the option to slight raise our head at night to help with my husbands snoring, or raise the legs to help relieve pressure off my lower back, was a huge bonus for us! The check out process was QUICK. I was impressed! We had 2 squirmy kiddos with us and it was quick & painless. The bed arrives Monday and I literally CANNOT WAIT!!! Thank you Noah and RIck! First experience: unkowledgeable sales person told us our purchase would work with our current bed: NOPE... had to get rid of our frame and the storage that came with it 😔...The temperpedic felt worlds different at home than in the store so we used our comfort guarantee to switch... (customer service professional was very pleasant)

Second experience: sales professional was awesome- tried every bed they had and only Liked a more expensive one... so I made arrangements with the manager to come in and do the switch. I showed up and he was on vacation! 😱 The sales person there was able to figure it out, and we paid an additional $500+ to get a “better” mattress... guess what, the one in the showroom was soft and comfortable. The one we got delivered is like sleeping on books (I’m not making up that the beds there feel VERY different than what you receive... maybe age maybe something else but...)and there’s NOTHING that can be done. I’m heartbroken and out of money... and my back hurts more now than on my cheap ikea...

We started our new bed search (after 18 years ) in January 2021. Our first stop was Sleep Outfitters on Fields Ertel. Kevin was very helpful and very patient as we were honest that we had just started looking and had planned on looking at a few different mattresses/stores including Sleep Number. We left that first day and I returned about a week later by myself just to lie on the bed we liked for 10-15 minutes to see how it felt a second time. Kevin was there that day and was again patient and understanding. I felt no pressure. After much searching we decided to go with the Serta Hybrid we originally liked from SO. My third return to the store today in February ended in the purchase of the Hybrid mattress.The delivery will be later this week which is a quick turnaround to get the new mattress.
