Just tried Infinity Slopes for the first time and OMG! It was so much fun! I went with a coworker who knows how to ski. She hadn't been skiing for a while, so they corrected some of her body mechanics, and she looked like a pro up there! For me, I have not been skiing before. They were so patient and kind teaching me the basics! It was only 1/2 hour, but my legs are like jello and I'm going to be so sore tomorrow. Bringing the kids for their first lesson on Saturday.
If you don't know what Infinity Slopes is, it is an indoor ski venue. Apparently, they are really popular in Europe and Asia, but we only have 6 here in the US. It uses a HUGE treadmill with a special carpet, but according to my friend, it was just like skiing on the mountain.
Before I drop mega bucks for a ski trip here in Colorado, I'm going to have my kids learn here first. A LOT less expensive. I had never heard of this place until I talked with them at their tent at an event, and now I feel that I need to get the word out about them because they are really nice people with a very unique offering, and it is right here...

Dane coached our two young kiddos through their first downhill ski lesson and I was impressed with the lesson structure and Dane's ability to provide the students with exactly what they needed. Dane went above and beyond what I would have expected in a ski lesson for young kiddos - they learned how to put on, take off, and carry their own gear. And of course, some skiing basics on the hill.
Dane told and showed the kids how to proceed with each new skill, and when done incorrectly, he showed what would happen if they continued with their own method. As a parent, I find this approach extremely educational and productive. Dane has a natural ability to assess comfort levels, work within them, then push just enough outside of those zones to achieve physical and mental progress.
I cannot say enough good things about our first visit, and we look forward to a repeat. Booking online was super easy, with a variety of packages and...
Read moreThis place is a win for Northern Colorado! We have twin 4 year olds and an almost 3 year old. We are headed up to the mountains later this year and wanted to get them comfortable in skis without buying a day pass somewhere or risking them getting too cold to think it was fun the first time in skis. We signed them up for a group class of the three of them. We were hopeful that they would think it was fun, but also nervous that it would turn them off since we started them so young and it could be intimidating. They LOVED. EVERY. SECOND. I mean we had to carry one of them to the car because he was so sad that we were leaving. Our kiddos’ instructor was Dane and he was fantastic. He was so patient and encouraging and just happily helped them back up when they would fall on purpose or try to twist their skis in the air. About half the time was them just being goofballs, but they had a blast and that was the whole point. They cannot wait for their next lesson and neither can we. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and I’m just so grateful it’s not in Denver… like most...
