We were looking for ring holder necklaces as Christmas gifts for our family's hardworking women who use their hands a lot but want to have a safe place to protect their rings. We called several stores requesting a white gold ring holder necklace and all other stores did not know what they were, did not have them in stock, or only offered them in sterling silver. I called Mamadou and he offered to try and help. We came by and showed him a picture of what we were looking for. He crafted two in solid white gold and one in solid rose gold and had beautiful, strong chains onsite. In two hours we walked away with perfect, beautiful custom, high quality ring holder necklaces. When he weighed the gold and found the price was less than his initial estimate he lowered the total cost. He also cleaned a ring and stretched a wedding band for us for free. I strongly suggest to not use this jewelry store!! My recent visit to Design Jewelry was my first and last time there. My husband and I went to have a broken 10k yellow gold men’s ring resized and the stone set in place better because it was loose. They ended up using rose gold to resize it instead of yellow and did not fix the loose stone properly at all. The ring weighed 4grams when we brought it to them and the exact same when we got it back even though they were to add at least a quarter inch of gold to it. The inside was also all scratched and filed down so much it removed most of the k of the 10k stamp. And when my husband asked him to fix it he refused to do so properly denying that the pink hued gold he added was rose and trying to tell me it was 14k which makes no sense at all and all he could do was try to polish it. I love the owner of this store. I have been going there for at least 20 years with my husband and I've bought a few jewelry sets from him. My Most recent was a 2 piece wedding band set because my original set was stolen. But I need my wedding set repaired cleaned and re-dipped in Rose gold. He told me $75 to fix it and $75 to re-dip it but I didn't have enough so I was just getting it fixed and was going to find back around Xmas to have it dipped. so I Left my rings and came back about 45 mins and he hands me a napkin with my Ring so I opened it to see beautiful Rose Gold wedding bands.
