No food product is ever properly ordered, stocked or in the system. Want san pellegrino that every neighboring store has? GONE, for weeks. Want duck? Its in the back but they’re not allowed to sell it cause we can’t ring it up anymore. Milk is left out for days without being properly refrigerated so by the time you take it home and open it for the first time it’s gone bad. This has been happening consistently for months. I’m at the point where I’d rather drive 20 miles to the nearest whole foods than go to this store. Garlic? Gone. Basil? Gone or rotten. Avocados are left rotting on top of the new ones so they all get infected. They display the competency once a year on thanksgiving to hold a portion of the avocados in the back until they ripe more and put them out so they can be used immediately. Every other day? Just rotten and super premature avocados that take a week to ripen. If you ever find a product you like; it won’t be there ever again. Every worker is soo mind numbingly incompetent and puts 40lbs of food in one bag, which is breaking before they can even put it in your carriage. They stack 4 cartons of milk in one bag ON TOP of basil. I seriously question if management gives explicit instructions to be this inept to the baggers. The manager should seriously be fired. You should never visit this store. Hopefully, it shuts down soon and gets replaced by something better (really anything would be). I’d rather food shop at the CVS next...

I shop at other market baskets on cape cod, in New Hampshire and market basket as far up as Biddeford Maine! So if you are going on vacation from Wells ME to Saco ME. Clean store, well laid out, the staff is extremely friendly. They have an amazing and clean produce department and their meat department has great selections and carries specialty meats around certain holidays. If you think spend 30% less on identical food items you will find at other supermarkets ( one starts with an H and ends with ford) sounds like a great idea, then there is no reason not to shop at market basket. They are constantly adding more and more organic foods as well. Trust me when I say this... just because the food is cheap doesn't mean they skimp on quality or cleanliness. Those two factors are a huge deal to me when I am shopping for meats and produce. I have been to too many competing supermarkets where you just look at the meat and produce cases make you want...
Read moreThis is the Market Basket Tewksbury deserves. Sure, it feels cramped, if you're used to fancier Market Baskets it can be discombobulating, but it is honestly one of my favorite locations. Everyone on staff takes pride in their work. The fish counter is tiny and yet staffed by the best cutters I've seen in the entire Merrimack Valley. There are always open aisles with cashiers who will move you through lickety split. If you are ordering catering, whether it be chicken fingers, a party sub, sushi platter, or deli tray, get it here. Plus, there's an MB Liquor store, with some great prices and great finds, next door. Also, every customer understands the assignment. You go in near a major holiday and everyone is angsty but polite. Yeah, you might have to park far away, but you're right next to a cart return and at checkout, they'll sell you that good Green Monster ice melt. They don't have the full selection of other Market Baskets, especially they don't have serrano peppers or tomatillos, but you can go here and get...
