Outrageous prices, they should be arrested for picking your pocket. The fascist self checkout machines screech in anger if you make one mistake and it refused to accept that i was trying to scan a piece of fruit and it beeped for an employee that has to watch over the 40 machines they replaced working Americans with. thanks for hiring robots instead of young kids and grandmothers to save a buck. and then they coerce you to round up at the end for charity so Weis can take a huge percentage of our dollars off of the tax bill so they contribute even less to this wonderful Country.
Now finally we get to the worst of it, the Weis to go 'food'. i got 3 items to share with some friends. meatloaf, which made my stomach hurt instantly, that came with macaroni and cheese that was clearly 80 percent margarine with noodles and cheese flavoring. next was sesame chicken. corn syrup and orange juice mixed with no other spices. it tasted like nothing but orange powdered drink mix and the texture was like eating a deep fried piece of old boot. the 3rd thing was another kind of asian style chicken that tasted like bourbon and Copenhagen chewing tobacco. this texture was also nightmarish. the rice that came with both of these tasted like it had been boiled in Styrofoam and the little egg rolls were so greasy it coated my entire throat like in the Matrix when that liquid metal stuff goes down Neo's throat. i paid 6 dollars each for these items and i wouldn't have fed them to prisoners of war. i didnt put them down my food processor because i didn't want to make it sick. my grandmother, through a miracle of our lord and savior Jesus Christ, came back to life to tell me she loved me one last time but had a bite of this food first and was sent back to heaven because of the poor quality.
this store is 7 minutes closer to me then any other grocery store but i would gladly drive 70 minutes if it meant i didn't have to come here again. shame on you for your terrible prices and...
Read moreI’ll start on a high note. The pub is very nice. I don’t drink much but it’s nice to get a cold brew every once in awhile. And the staff there is great. However, it’s a whole other world once you step past the rest rooms.
The main problem as I see it is this - There is NO adult supervision there at night!
I go on Thursday nights as I get 10% Discounts. I usually get a cart full of groceries. Typically there is only one cashier line open. The single cashier is usually complaining that they are the only cashier - to another teenage employee! I asked one one time why there 5 teenage employees standing around goofing around with each other at the self checkout. And she tells me they need that many there to “observe and help”.
Walking up and down the aisles, the teenage employees park the restock carts in the middle of aisle. And at 7:00 at night, there are empty shelves.
The food bar: Half the time they close the salad bar down well before the advertised 8:00 closing time. And I actually like the salad bar and am very disappointed to not be able to get one when I’m done shopping. Actually pissed is more like it. I used to like the pizza but I don’t bother anymore because the employees just ignore the pizza counter. Plus it’s hot or miss if you get a decently cooked pie.
Bottom line - Have adult supervision out front until the...
Read moreI have gone to the supermarket three times now in the very short time that it’s been open. I’d like to give my review based on my last two visits. The supermarket has about 14 isles four registers but only four of them are manned by employees. The other 10 are all self checkout lanes which in my opinion is just ridiculous from the customers standpoint. Tonight I went shopping there probably for the last time. I spent $100 and I had to have one of the employees come over and help me eight times because every time you swipe something and you put it in the bag and then you put it in your buggy it tells you to put it back on the checkout lane even though there’s no room because you have too many groceries there. I just found this to be a very frustrating process considering I don’t work for the store and now I have to stand there and swipe and bag my own items and still get employees to come help me anyway. Even though the store is brand new and I do think that it has a really good selection of healthy living items I’m probably going to start at...
