So Cool Bus Ice Cream Truck — Restaurant in Lower Macungie Township

I find this company to be very unprofessional and uncaring. I reached out to them to serve 18-20 teenagers at my daughter's Sweet 16 Birthday Party a week ago (July 2025). They emailed me all the details, and said that the date & time was available, and that they would come so long as I responded by email to confirm the appointment because they are first come, first serve. I responded right away (within 30 minutes) excited about their coming, but never heard from them again. They sent no confirmation of the time they offered me. They sent no email that their offered time was no longer available. They sent no email with an alternate time. And they didn't show up to serve at my daughter's party! I waited for them and called them during the party, but there was no answer or return call. I emailed them that there were 20 disappointed kids and wanted to know where the breakdown in communication was, again no answer. They didn't even have the common courtesy to respond to me as a customer who followed all of their instructions. They just ignored us. I would not recommend using...

Be very cautious booking this Ice Cream Truck for an event. After having the bus come to a previous birthday party, we wanted them to come again. I booked them well in advance of the Birthday party for my daughter and nephew. They called me just over a week away from the party saying that they were requested to appear at a different event and they would not be able to make it even though I had reserved the truck and gotten a commitment for the date. Their solution was to drop off ice cream before the party in advance so we would have it for dessert time. Seriously?!? This is the level of their customer service.

The culture of this small business is money. They do not care about the community and seeing the smile on your child’s face. They would rather cash in at a corporate event, then do the right thing and take care of return customers.

I hope others see this and think twice about booking an appearance. If it happened once, it could surely happen again and you will be left mopping up the tears...

We hired the So Cool Bus Ice Cream Truck for my son's 16th birthday, and it was an absolute hit! From the moment the truck pulled up with its cheerful music and colorful design, the excitement was contagious. The team was friendly, professional, and incredibly accommodating — making sure every guest (young and old!) got exactly what they wanted.

The ice cream itself? Beautiful! A vast selection of treats, including dairy-free and nut-free options, made it easy for everyone to enjoy a treat.

What really stood out was the care and attention they gave to making the day memorable. . My son even went on the truck, sat in the window and helped serve his guests. As an ice cream lover, that really meant a lot to him.

If you're planning a party or just want to make the day extra special, I can't recommend the So Cool Bus enough.
