Fun and Function — Local services in Lower Merion Township

I’ve rarely been so genuinely impressed by a company as I have been by Fun and Function. From start to finish, from their website and sensory product resources to the simply outstanding customer service provided by Emily G., I’m a huge fan. Here’s why:

Last year I was part of a team applying for a grant to install an inclusive, sensory safe space to benefit our library’s community. We consulted with a number of professionals and organizations to develop our vision and then researched countless sensory products from companies focusing in part or in full on meeting the needs of kids with sensory processing disorders. Among these companies, Fun and Function really stood out for the care and attention given to educating their customers about their products and the differing ways in which they meet a range of sensory needs.

Intuitively laid out and searchable, Fun and Function’s website is replete with videos demonstrating use of products and each item has a series of tags indicating what sensory needs it meets/develops. I found it it to be particularly accessible as one who was new to all things sensory and I highly recommend it as a starting place for those seeking an introduction to the hows and whys of practical sensory play and therapy tools.

About a month ago I also got to experience Fun and Function’s peerless customer service. Emily G. was my first, middle and last point of contact when I called to inquire about an item that wasn’t quite standing up to our customers’ use. She was tremendously helpful and from the start I felt that her - as well as Fun and Function’s - first concern was customer satisfaction. She worked with us to ensure the optimal outcome and I really have to say that it was refreshing to see how firmly she and the company stand behind their products.

Very helpful and knowledgeable team. They went out of their way to help me with my order. They genuinely care about their customers and do everything they can to help. I purchased Air Lite inflatable ball pit for my child. We can't wait to receive it. I will post update once we receive it. We are very happy to have found Fun and Function and highly recommend them to all parents, teachers and therapists. I only wish more of their products were available in Canada. They have some truly innovative and unique products. Leiba and Nomi have been really awesome! Highly recommended!!!

Update: Shipping was very fast and it arrived in excellent condition. We have been using the Air Lite Inflatable Ball pit for 2 months now. My kiddo loves it and so do I. It's much larger than I thought but it is perfect and SO comfortable. Just so you know, it looks high but the bottom inflates too (like an air mattress) so it's not as deep inside as it looks from the outside. It's SUPER comfortable though (yes I have crawled inside it with my kiddo and one time actually fell asleep for a power nap in there!) For balls - I suggest buying LOTS more than you think you need. I had issues with both bubble lamps not working properly. I contacted customer service, and explained the issues along with submitting pictures and a video. I was told they would look into it and get back to me.

Suri, the customer service rep, was exceptional with her correspondence. She went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied with our bubble machines.

So the company sent us out 2 new bubble Machines without any additional cost as a courtesy! These bubble machines are very expensive initially, so the fact that they sent me 2 new ones free of charge was outstanding! I’m very thankful and appreciative of this company valuing their customers.
