I wanted to take the time to bring awareness to any unsuspecting victim or potential victim who may make the unfortunate mistake of purchasing from Eddin's furniture. I made the horrific decision to purchase a Malibu style Sleep-Designs bed from Eddin's for 571 dollars. Actually, I didn't make it (my girlfriend used my card to make the purchase). It was the second she had purchased from them, as up to that point I was pretty satisfied with the other bed. Then both beds started to warp. I spoke with the manager, Ricardo, and he assured me that he would resolve the issue and exchange the bed.
He then proceeded to charge my girlfriend another 324 dollars for what he claimed was a better bed, a Boyd 5121. After reviewing this bed on Amazon, I found that we were being charged 900 dollars for a 466$ bed. I was furious as this was an utter ripoff.
When I brought the newfound information to the attention of Ricardo, I was offered a reduction in the amount of 144 dollars which brought the price to 766 dollars for a mattress that cost 466$ on Amazon, a 300 dollar difference. This was still not adequate to me, so at this point I asked for a total refund for all money that had been charged. I felt that this was fair, even though both mattresses (covered fully under a 10 year warranty) were warped and needed to be replaced. After lengthy discussion, Ricardo informed me that he would refund me in full, by voiding one charge and refunding the other (less delivery of 20 dollars), and they would pick up the bed. I was given both receipts and assured that the money would be refunded.
No void or refund ever occurred, and I was phoned by Ragan, another manager, and informed that no money would be returned and they were "tired of dealing with me." As things stand now, I am out 900 dollars and stuck with a defective bed. Please, whatever you do, avoid these thieves. There are way better places to go for your sleeping needs. Avoid at all costs, or your results...
Read moreHeard the radio commercials and decided to give these guys a try. Spent over $3K on a leather living room suite. I know 3K not the best quality leather but I expected it to do ok for the money. I have used nothing but leather cleaner and barely 2 years later the leather is peeling like crazy, the frame came loose on the side and they look horrible. When I bought the couches I was told that any condition issues I ever had would be covered for 5 years if I bought their (very expensive) warranty. I called the Gaurdsman warranty people and the program is a JOKE. They wont cover the peeling because it was not an accidental tear and not reported within 5 days of the first sign. I cant blame Eddins for the quality, I knew I was buying cheap (altho I expected to get more than 2 years out of a $3k sofa set). I DO blame them for a dishonest sales process and selling a over priced warranty and misrepresenting it. I am extremely disappointed in the furniture and the entire experience. Don't let the slick commercials and pretty green building fool you. This is just another overpriced junk shop and they obviously don't stand behind their product. I should have know by the...
Read moreMy husband and I will be moving next month, and heard of Eddin's from my mother in law, who had bought something here previously to furnish a college dorm room. Not sure what to expect, we went in on a Saturday at lunchtime. Al (I believe) came over to ask what we were looking for, indicated where we should look in the store and then left us to explore. As someone who hates the car salesman vibe, this was a refreshing visit to a furniture store. He was super helpful, asked if we had questions, but was never pushy. They had tons of variety, which was helpful in determining what features we wanted.
I intended just to look around and see what was available, however because we found furniture that we both loved, we ordered a new bedroom set and mattress/box spring set. Their delivery fee is insanely low, and we were told they would put it all together for us at the new place. Score!
We will likely be back to choose our living room furniture - lots of...
