Let me share a little background first. I'm a Lubbock local, 47, male. I recently figured out that my 8+ year old mattress was either the cause of the problem or compounded a lesser problem that gave me back pain. We went to Denver mattress first and talked with a very knowledgeable guy named Jeremey Riopelle. He was a heavier set guy like me and was very knowledgeable about not only the mattresses he sold but also the minor back problems. He was able to point out the type of mattresses that would be best according to my weight and that he agreed with me that my current mattress was worn out and at least part of the problem. He guided me toward the ones that offered more long term back support that my back needed. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable about the industry he served. Denver Mattresses also has a trial period for their mattresses which is another great thing that I needed. Because of the back problem, one or two nights isn't going to give you an idea of how well a mattress will be best for you. It's only after about three months that you will find out that the mattress is truly best for you and I don't know, and neither did he, of any other place that had a trial period for a mattress in order to make sure that the mattress you bought was truly for you or not. Read moreMy wife and I went to Denver Mattress in Lubbock Texas. We were looking for slats for a queen bed. We actually were looking for the wrong item. We thought the slats would come in pieces that we could carry home in our SUV. The very kind service staff helped us determine what we actually needed and they had in stock. However, we didn’t have a way to transport the boxspring home. My wife was stressed because it was a bed that was just purchased so her Aunt could visit before a pretty big surgery in two weeks. After that it would be a while before she could visit again. Marisa stayed with my wife as Christian showed me examples of beds so we could determine what was needed. We found the right item and I told Christian that we would have to try to find a way to get it home. He just asked where we lived and said he would leave right then and there to deliver it to our house. I could not believe that he offered and I told him we would find a way. Christian insisted that it would be no problem and he knew my wife would feel better if it was done. The way Marisa and Christian helped us was above and beyond. So much empathy, kindness and willing to go the extra mile for a customer. You guys just set the bar for great customer service. Read moreMy husband and I visited Denver Mattress because of the high rating the store received. We ordered a Stearns and Foster mattress and had a very bad experience. We were told it would arrive in two weeks. We were never called, so after three weeks we followed up. It appeared there was some problem with getting the mattress, however, no one bothered to let us know. We finally visited the store again and another employee informed us the mattress was discontinued. There was no possibility of our receiving a refund, so our only recourse was to order a different model of mattress. We had been told that our first choice was not one that they carried, so after checking their online site and calling another store, I informed the employee that they did carry that model. We finally got the mattress after a very long wait. We felt as though we had been deceived, as well as cheated out of a warranty on the mattress. We will never do business with Denver Mattress again.
