This review is STRICTLY for the "personal shoppers". These people NEVER pay attention to where they leave their big red aisle blockers aka carts, they push around you as you are selecting your items, and can never be bothered to assist customers. Watched one today knock several glass bottles from the shelf. Despite them breaking on the floor he walked off leaving the liquid and broken glass across the aisle. My wife called to him and he was trying to get away from her I blocked him off with my cart and asked him, "are you going to clean up your mess? Thats liquid on a concrete floor, slip hazard, and broken glass, I shouldnt have to point out the safety violation there" his response was "i notified maintenance and now I need to get to fulfilling orders." When I asked shouldnt you block the aisle with your cart to ensure nobody hit this until it is cleaned up he stated its not his job and left. Went by the mess again just at 20 minutes later and both the liquid and glass were still on the floor, just now track marks from shoes and wheels. The personal shoppers need to be trained that the customers still exist and safety is priority one and is EVERYONES JOB. Maybe open the store at 0500 to 0800 JUST for the personal shoppers so then they can be the only people in the store as they seem to believe they already are. Or shut them down so people who dont want to play dodge red cart or have to move out of their way in order to do our shopping. They are just as rude as the original review. Still standing there for no reason other than to block the aisle, reaching around customers as they shop, leaving their carts in other aisles again, clogging up the flow of shoppers, this is single handedly the only annoying part of shopping at H-E-B.
Three months later, its even worse. I swear you train these "personal shoppers" armed with red carts to be the rudest and most inconsiderate people in the store. Leaving their carts in a fashion to block the entire aisle while no employee to be seen. Then group up blocking the area while they sort through their "carts". Never hear an excuse me or anything. Or they reach around you as if you are in their way. They are the ONLY downfall of this store. I could get in and out of this location in about 30 minutes until THEY become a factor. End up bagging my groceries because there is never someone available employees are hanging out by the service desk. Of course I bag my own once the cashier puts down their cell phone and start checking my purchase. Customer service is nose diving, hope someone has the tenacity to pull...
Read moreUPDATE TO REVIEW - This is solely based on the short girl with blonde hair and glasses I don't know if she's a manager or what, she wears normal clothes and just a name tag which I will find out her name and again update this review so people will know exactly who she is. (Found out her name is Skyler. She is short blonde and gap toothed sometimes wears glasses sometimes doesn't)But she is down right hateful. There has been literally countless times I'll be standing in a line and to avoid the checkout lanes going down the aisles I will be told I can go to one of the express lanes or something. This girl however goes out of her way to pull people even if they are next in line with no one behind them to put them in the longer lines. She has a bad nasty attitude about it and is a direct reason I have changed my review to 2 stars. Because yes i do still love HEB. I just watched her go tell on a doordasher for trying to check out in the express lane and there was literally no one behind him. He maybe MAYBE had 17 items. The express is 15 or less, but lets be real, a few extra items won't kill anyone but she acts like it is an act of war. When he said no she went and told on him - like a little crybaby. And I can't help but feel like had he been a regular customer she wouldn't have cared. She needs to be put in line or fired. Stop being rude to customers, there is no reason for it. But watching her act like a little baby just because someone dared tell her no. That's not what customer service is about. She is a pathetic trashy rotten employee. And doordashers are people too. I was standing in a lane next to them and she even had one of her male co workers go tell the dasher they will refuse service to him if he didn't move. He was just doing his job too, and it wouldn't have been a big deal if he checked out there like come on yall. And like I said. There is so many times myself or others will be told to go ahead and go through the express checkout lanes when the lines start backing up bad. She just gets on a weird power trip it seems. Like I said, she is a pathetic employee.

Read more6/24/25. Back in April I left a gift addressed to Clarissa in Bakery, with Alejandra in Customer Service. I recall Alejandra had an "I could care less attitude" when she said she could not guarantee that Clarissa would get the gift I left for her with her name and a gift card with a personal message from me. There were 2 vintage rabbit figurines, and a door sign that red "Every bunny Welcomed" with a picture of a bunny rabbit on it. Today I finally heard from Clarissa when she reached out to me to let me know my order of flour tortillas was ready. Clarissa is very good at making sure I get my tortillas just the way I like them. So at this time I asked her if she had ever gotten the gift I had left for her? She had not. She had not even been told about it. I then went to the service desk and after waiting for service for about 5 minutes, low and behold Alejandra finally shows up with her nonchalant attitude. I asked what had happened to Clarissas gift. She smirked and said she had no idea. I could tell she knew exactly what I was talking about about. She said that another Clarissa that worked in another department in the store had probably gotten it by mistake. So how did that happen when I clearly told you it was for Clarissa in Bakery? She just directed me to go to the other department and check with that Clarissa. Alejandra offered no assistance whatsoever with my issue. She was just done and was not interested to solving the matter. This incident was witnessed by Claudia, and Clarissa from Bakery. The manager of the other department where the other Clarissa worked is also aware of this incident and assured me that my problem with Alejandra would be addressed. If this other Clarissa did in fact take a gift not meant for her, that needs to be addressed as well. Aaron the store manager is out of town so I intend to follow up with this matter when he returns. FYI be careful with Alejandra. This kind of employee gives HEB a bad name.
Update 6/30/25. Sadly Aaron Manager did not return my call on above issue. He had Danielle call me instead. Gave my complaint to her and she said she would address it. I hope I hear back from her. I want to know what happened to the gift I left for...
