True Texas BBQ — Restaurant in Lubbock

We went for supper on 8.13.2024.Ordered 2 heart of Texas combos. One with mac and cheese other with potato salad as well as the blue berry cobbler. The sandwiches didn't come with the cheese,onions were crumbs, and meet looked old and dry. The m/c was ruining and the cobbler was just okay. We returned the items and received a full refund ....so we were told. In the end we were charged twice.something about the POS couldn't understand the transaction needed. Then we had to wait about 30mintues to get the refund because the transaction required two mangers. Finally so we thought we received two refunds. Then I looked at my account it showed the two paid charges BUT no refunds. They were not processed but taken back from my account. To say this is a nightmare is an understatement!!! Now I have to reach out to HEB BBQ to right...

My wife and I stopped in for dinner on Wednesday. We were 4th of July dinner shopping and we had always wondered how the BBQ tasted. So we both had the 3 meat plate meals. We both had 2 briskets and sausage. With it being later they had unfortunately already run out of ribs and burnt ends. We paid $52 for 3 slices of brisket each and sausage. I was a little surprised since we paid that much. But the brisket we got lean. It was dry and not much flavor. I made the mistake of putting the sweet sauce on it. That made the flavor worse. I was not a fan of the sweet bbq sauce. Just disappointed with the amount you get with the price you pay. Maybe we should’ve gone earlier to get more variety. Had been looking forward to trying True Texas BBQ. My daughter and I ate there last night before grocery shopping. How disappointed we were! I ordered a chopped BBQ bun and she ordered a brisket burrito. Both orders were stone cold so we took them back. They were both lukewarm on the second try, but we were in a hurry, so ate them anyway, although my daughter left half her burrito on the pan. We were both still hungry when we left. The BBQ bun was small, with about a teaspoon of chopped BBQ, including a 1" bone! The burrito was also lacking meat, had maybe 2 teaspoons. There needs to be improvements in portion sizes vs price, and food should be served Hot! We probably won't try this restaurant again. Sorry HEB, love your grocery store, but you missed the mark on...
