Firebrick Pottery — Local services in Lynchburg

We had such a fun time in the small-group beginners throwing workshop led by Firebrick Pottery owner Alex Milhous! All four participants had plenty of fun with all the time, trial, and errors we were allowed. Alex was a kind and patient teacher, encouraging us to push our limits and be creative. Each ticket entitles you to one finished piece (fired, glazed, etc), but you can purchase more of your practice pieces for an extra $20 each. In the end, we all wanted to come back! Our three pieces were ready in almost exactly the three weeks as promised....

One of the best date experiences we have ever had! We took the Wheel Throwing for Beginners class. I was so anxious about even sitting behind a wheel much less dealing with clay. Alex, the owner/instructor is AMAZING! She was incredibly informative and very patient! We all laughed a lot, encouraged each other, such a fun time! I had such a wonderful experience here! The owner was incredibly kind and accommodating, and my teacher, Trish, was so helpful and sweet. They made the class fun, informative and easy to follow even as a beginner I felt completely comfortable.
